EXCESS OF 60 MPH. THESE STORMS WERE LOCATED ALONG A LINE EXTENDING

FROM CONSHOHOCKEN TO ARDEN TO DELAWARE CITY...OR ALONG A LINE

EXTENDING FROM 12 MILES WEST OF PHILADELPHIA TO WILMINGTON TO 10

MILES SOUTH OF WILMINGTON...AND MOVING EAST AT 35 MPH.

What levels are they embedded in?

I haven't looked closely (being lazy before work), but I imagine the stuff moving northeastward is at a much higher level (say, 700 mb or maybe even a bit higher) than the stuff moving southeastward (which is probably 850 mb or even lower).

a departing cold front?

I missed everything except for the cold and wind. Light rain in the morning but classes took me out of the strong line of rain/thunderstorms and high wind gusts.

I was going for the precip moving at right angles to each other in very close proximity.
