Tuesday (edit: Monday) may end up a one day torch

Hopefully, we don't get too much cloud debris tomorrow from the t-storms over the Midwest. That would put a lid on the warmth.

We have a waste of good dynamics with the cold front Tuesday am. An 80kt LLJ with steep mid-level lapse rates. Enough for showers and t-storms with some heavy rains and gusty winds. But no CAPE for severe wx. I would also think with La Nina we do better we severe wx with systems still progressive across the country and strong SE ridge.

Cloud cover is streaming northeast ahead of the warm front..looks like the convective debris is to our north. But it should be interesting to see what time we break through the clouds. This is going to be a close call for northern areas.

I hate to be the bearer of bad news for your northern friends, but it's 38.9°F here in NEPA this morning and we're socked under full clouds.

The beginning of these days can often seem as if they have no hope to clear. Believe me, it most likely will with the warm sector broadening and the warm front pushing north. Will definitely take longer the further north you go, hence the gradient this afternoon.
