weatherMA
I wonder if I should stay up as late as possible tonight to track this or try to go to bed early and wake up early. Leaning towards the latter, esp. because I could still have school. 18z gfs time!
butterfish55
Just went to all snow here in Raynham (near 24/495). Was a 50/50 mix 10 minutes ago, but all snow now. Very steady snow coming down 95 through Norwood/Foxboro/Norton. Not sure how long this lasts in this neck of the woods, but it's nice to see

nzucker
what a funky looking ne regional radar. -ra/sn blah We need those echoes over PA to come this way to get what we are expecting with the initial wave. Everything looks really chopped up right now.

Turtle
We've got a 50/50 mix of rain and snow in Taunton (S end...about 2 miles W of Bob <ETauntonMA>). I have noticed my temp dropping pretty good. Got back here around 5 PM and temp was 39, now down to 37. KTAN also down to 37. Interesting... --Turtle
CT Rain
All the models did show things cold enough for snow at the onset... but the 18z NAM for instance warms up things quite a bit in the HFD area between now and 6z.
nzucker
you can easily see where the focus for the meaningful precip is going to be. Looks like I will be on the western edge, cuts ne pretty dramatically This might be another storm where I stay cold enough for snow but get like no precip, just like 3/24....everyone was talking about mixing issues with that storm, and I ended up getting 2.5" of snow on .3" QPF, when models were forecasting close to 1" QPF. It's really a shame we're wasting this cold pattern with BS systems, would have liked to see something really drill us when we had the big -NAO regime in late March, but alas time is running out. Seems like there hasn't been a decent Nor'easter since 1/27.... That precipitation really needs to consolidate from the line in E PA if New England is going to get a shot at decent snows tonight. The system looks very disjointed now with moderate rain in extreme SE New England, some snow/rain mix in NYC metro area, and a couple of other isolated lines of precip in E PA/NJ. In order to take advantage of dynamic cooling and eliminate our crappy BL, we need to see the banding coalesce in the next few hours.

ORH_wxman
GFS tracks it near ACK, its a pretty cold run, but also drier than its 12z run. It does have the commahead exploding over SNE during the overnight hours...it will be a close call that is probably a nowcast thing.
