mahk_webstah
It is exactly as I expected, not a bad little "event" but meh. Fitting end to the Spring snow season. I'm more concerned with the 5+" on the trees hanging over the house.. Yeah that is some serious cement.
mahk_webstah
Maybe I'll get deformed like a mofo... Look at that radar, you gon have some fun this morn.
mattb65
Forgettable event. Memorable April Fools day event down here. Crazy heavy snow on the cape, everything pasted with 1-2" here, not that common to see snow on the CP in april and especially not common on the cape. CoastalWx
so this thing took the right track to bury all of sne but just did not have the strength or dynamics advertised earlier on. this event i think even for north central mass is even pedestrian by their standards of early spring snows... i was wishing for this track but never did i think with all the chit chat of big snows that i would get the right track of a disjointed mess Well yesterday it appeared the heaviest action would tick east which it did. It was basically a warm conveyor belt of moisture that came up from the south because we didn't have matured mid level lows just yet. However things came together over the last few hours and everything is starting to mature, hence the mini comma head from ORH-BOS on north. This will be a great event for ORH-ne mass. free_man
You're going to get hit good on the next 2 hours or so. This won't be "meh"..it never is on April 1st. I disagree, but it's all good. Remember we had people last night calling for a foot in ASH...just goes to show you how hard it is to ween weenies off of the snowiest solutions when you start so high. CoastalWx
Mike, the GYX radar looks sick. What a day for the foothills and points northeast. That should be one heck of a morning through lunchtime or even early aftn.

MainePhotog
Wow, some really wet snow falling here. Imagine ratios are in the area of 9 or 10:1 if that. Close to 3", branches sagging, wind picking up. Capture from my weather cam, although branches down usually sag that far into the image.
kevin1927
Switched over to rain/sleet here as the dry slot approaches.
CoastalWx
Ryan's call worked out pretty well for him and Kevin. I'm a little surprised at how much IP I had, but the sneaky 850-800mb later was just enough. Still, it must have been pretty darn cold beneath 850mb. Too bad that layer had to taint, but I'm happy. Pretty much worked out over here.

TalcottWx
yeah, lots of droopage going on right now. I'll probably lose power by noon. I feel like I'm going to get squeezed here. That DS looks to be racing north and I don't have much on the ground yet. I would rather be in Augusta. I think I'm being picky.
DomNH
Well, only 4.5'' new, but this has to be some 5:1 or 6:1 ratio snow. I've got limbs down and if I don't lose power it'll be a miracle.

CoastalWx
If things could have worked out like the previous night's models, the interior would have been crushed, but a few ticks east and a delay and positioning in the maturing mid levels lows tapered things a bit. It's a good event for those getting mostly snow.
weatherMA
3.8" new, looks awesome. Sweet for 4/1. Still have school though but convinved parents to dismiss me early since I "couldnt sleep last night." Will post some pics I took this morning later. Season total now at 88.7". CoastalWx
Hopefully a few of those come down on the house Those mid level temp fears ending up working out down there. If that first batch didn't poo out...probably would have had a nice 4" event. That was my fear for your area. I realized that when doing my first and last call, but I thought you might eek out 4". CoastalWx
total rippage right now...less than a quarter. Is it one of those "dry" wet snows up there? You know the kind of snow that's got high water content, but it's cold enough so it stacks up well...none of the pasty/melting of snow

Keep in mind that you are talking to the same person who speaks like every hurricane in the Atlantic will turn into the next 1938...he just likes to poo-poo winter events and be a uber weenie on tropical systems.
