ORH_wxman
Looks like the pike is the mix line right now. I'm only 7.5-8 miles N of it though.(well at least the part of the pike that bends up near 290...more like 10 miles north of the pike a little W of that)

ORH_wxman
It looks like the sleet is trying to inch north...it might be sleeting in Auburn now and perhaps even S ORH city. But it could just be monster aggregates on radar.
weatherwiz
Virtually all sleet now but I'll have to go outside and double check

ORH_wxman
Will, what do you have, 4"... Probably...i havent gone out in measured in a bit. I cleared space about 90 minutes ago for new measurements, and it looks like about another inch, but the composite will be less than that as we compacted a bit during the lull/lighter phase a while back. ORH_wxman
Its probably snowing at 1.5 to 2" per hour right now. I'm surprised the airport hasn't issued a SPEC yet with lower vis...but that might be a bad sign for me because it would mean they might be mixing keeping the vis near 1 mile. Only about 3.5 miles N of the airport. I'd love to see them go to SN or +SN.
Ice Warrior commander
50/50 snow and sleet here now.. VSBY has dropped. 30.7F
ORH_wxman
Airport just dropped to 3/4 vis about 10 min ago, so that's a good sign, I'd rather see 1/2 or 1/4 though. We are at 1/4 here.
Arnold214
All systems go here in Southern/Central Maine. ECMWF and HRRR are very close and absolutely pound between 12z and 18z...this should be one of the best storms (if not the best storm) of the season here barring some epic collapse like the 2007 New York Mets. We are adding thunder to the grids/zones on the coastal plain for today.
ORH_wxman
If we stay all snow, we'll easily pick up double digits looking at radar, the concern is mid-level temps.

ORH_wxman
I'm really glad I stuck with 6-12 for N ORH county towns and didn't drop them after the 12z Euro disaster. They are going to get smoked for sure.

ORH_wxman
Told ya we were good w QPF.... Yeah qpf does not look like the issue right now. I'll be taking an electrical bath though if we waste 3 hours of heavy precip on a sleet bomb. I'm bracing for the mix at any moment...but if it happens, I hope its brief and not of major consequence. I'm glad ice warrior is 50/50 right now.
Ice Warrior commander
measurements: 3AM 2.5" of snow so far. pavement is covered ( coated) in the PL and SN. Vis has dropped rapidly to 1/2 to 3/4 of a mile now. Snow is increasing quickly over the PL fest I had.. On that note.. I'm out. Back at 7AM Good Luck everyone. ORH_wxman
Yellow 40+ dbz over here now on radar but it still all snow...very heavy right now. I'd love to see the airport go from 3/4 to 1/4 soon. But regardless, we are getting absolutely pounded at this moment.

This is like Dec '96 Cantore snow right now....just these 30-31F dendrites destroying us right now. Your area should start ramping up more as these heavier echoes move over.
