It could be the iPad app, but radar looks very popcornish in the cold areas.

Roads were historically bad at 7-9pm. At 9pm rte 3a was full of spun out cars. The local bars were full of people seeking refuge as accidents on the bottom of 3 and the sagamore bridge had traffic backed up for miles. State police were using side roads to respond it was a total disaster.

North of white cliff there was about 3.5", south about 2.6-3". Luckily the change to rain allowed ass highway to catch up. 3a was plowed by about 1030.

Very impressive snow at 8pm tonight. Among my top snow experiences as it was so different. Very few times in my life have I witnessed that type of blinding snow. Great way to end winter although my kids will be bumbed they have school.

Lol, yeah this is sucking. I'm ready for some steep lapse rates.

Well lapse rates are somewhat steep...6.5 C/KM

I'm actually a little nervous about getting any accumulating snow at all really but I'm just waiting to see what happens over the course of the next few hours. Might have to depend on when the low starts to somewhat pull away and temps crash a bit aloft.
