eduggs
But you are advecting drier air into the system. Will is right too. Is White Plains advecting dry air? Central Park and Morristown, NJ? And how come it only shows up in the obs that coincide with precip onset? Every other hour the T/DPT are either stable or increasing. There should otherwise be a general trend of decreasing DP, which is not there.
DomNH
Yeah I dunno. Either way I don't think you'll have to worry too much. I think the Euro might have gone a little too far E. Yeah, I'm not really worried. I don't expect the 18'' the NAM wants to give me, but I do figure somewhere between 1-1.25'' of QPF here.

mattb65
34.0/32.0 at MIT Green Bldg Mostly light rain in Boston metro now Great to hear reports of 1/4 mile visibility and road accumulation from Wareham and South Plymouth... All light snow here in brookline, you're still raining? Not sticking but starting to slush up a bit on cars. If it gets heavy I would expect it to drop to 32-33 and stick here provided that the 850s dont warm too much. MQE is below freezing, maybe they'll hold the cold and be the surprise jackpot? Either way, both methods that we mentioned probably combining to work. Lots of wetbulbing.

mattb65
Any posters down around new bedford - impressive 45-55 dbz echos rolling in although those are likely bright banding or something. Real impressive though to have such heavy snow in SE MA when basically none was forecasted.

It has to or the forecast is going to bust bad nw of here on qpf
