As far as I can tell, they haven't confirmed if it touched the ground in Lakeland area.. flwxwatcher45 Posted March 31, 2011 Share Posted March 31, 2011 Just logged back online. The squall flexed it's muscle here in the Lakeland area. I had 51 MPH winds and blinding rain. I was on my back porch and to the south, the sky was lighting up like a christmas tree and the constant sound of the distant thunder sounded like a massive artillery barrage. Besides the report of people trapped at the Sun and Fun, it sounds like some more damage reports coming in for the South lakeland and Bartow area.
