I'd have to go with pre-boxing day on that one...but I'm nervous and excited for this one.

Yeah I'd have to say waiting for the last model set before the Boxing Day storm was much more intense than for this system, the Boxing Day storm was the first storm of the season and had potential to be very big...which it was for some but it did end up being a "disappointment" for some. I know I was totally let down b/c I was hoping for my first 10'' storm since Feb 06.

I'm nervous here b/c I really want a further east track so I can remain all snow and so BDL could possibly get close to 95-100''.

Yeah that was a good one too. This one is possibly the last of the season, and has some pretty good bust potential so it's defintely full of suspense. I'm fully prepared for something pretty crappy..i.e liquid, but I would love 3-5" of paste.

I'm sure there will be a few electrical baths taken tonight on some of these solutions.

I kind of almost had one of those once, I was in first grade and I went to my friends house and there were thunderstorms coming and they issued a severe t'storm warning and as the storm got closer I went outside and went swimming in my friends pool while it was lightning out...he said I was stupid.

I noticed that the 18z GFS ensemble mean is considerably colder over central MA at 48 hours compared to the op run.

It has a lot of good members that are cold. The sfc low track is being weighted to the west by those 3 obscene members that track it up the CT River valley. But most of the remaining 9 members are colder than the OP here. Even the ugly western members seem to occlude much quicker than the op, so that might also be affected the mean temp.

Might be tough to see but you can see that on the ensembles. There are a few members skewing the mean, but yeah the thermal field is tight around the 850 low.
