snowstormcanuck
Little disturbance on the GFS/EURO late next week might produce a bit of mixed precip. This was a duplicate thread for the April 3-5 event so why should it go to waste.
wisconsinwx
Real low probability, given the time of the year, but there seems to be decent model agreement. Also seems to be some sign of cold air damming, given enough downstream blocking remains. Although with the strength of the April sun, I'm not sure -2 to -3c at 850 is going to cut it during the afternoon. But hey, let's give it a shot. GFS Well, looks like it would be decent here, and I didn't think the 0C line would be that far south, so you never know.

River Card
Depends whether the PAC jet pattern is delayed enough or not. If it forces things to fast, the amount of damming will be limited and the front will fly on bye setting the stage for a more -PNA pattern. A more nagative pna pattern would suggest what? wishforsnow
Had many Aprils that had very bad blizzards and even had them as late as the second week of May here in the Keweenaw. My father took off the snow tires and put the summer tires on. I learnt my lesson one year when I did that. We had two feet of snow one day in April, and I ended getting stuck at the end of the driveway and I was in 4x4. The summer tires I have suck in snow. Now I leave them on until May. snowstormcanuck
Changed the focus of the thread (as reflected in the new title) to the April 7-9 "event" as this was a duplicate to b_i's thread. EURO shows enough cold air (at least aloft) for some snow in the 120-144 hour range at least in the Central Lakes.
