mattlacroix4
Very nice trend with the GFS, a lot of people on here were right with their opinions of where the track would go. Seems the Euro is the best option on this, climo wise. Not locked yet, but better.

CoastalWx
That is just a monster omega bomb between 06z and 09z on the GFS. Probably like 6-7" of snow in 3 hours type stuff. I was going to say, this might be a relatively quick hitter.
TalcottWx
10-12" down here and still snowing at 54.... Verbatim a power line collapser just south of here (and maybe here too)... Surface is above freezing it looks by jayhawks but SN+

nzucker
The trend is positive. Hopefully one more tick east. Even Boston gets a nice front end dump. Yeah we just need one tick east to get the major cities back in the game. It's going to be a close call for sure...6z GFS had the 850-line over Albany, now it's retreated to near my house at 12z. Just need like a 75 mile shift and could be mostly snow for NYC and BOS suburbs. Obviously you have an advantage as the low is bombing more, but we can see some big adjustments at this range. Nightmare forecast for the NW elevated suburbs of NYC and BOS, North-Central CT, ORH County, etc. Could go from heavy rain to 12" of snow in a short distance. ORH_wxman
I was going to say, this might be a relatively quick hitter. Thats why I mentioned Dec '96 redux...part 2 of that series anyway. It was about an 8-9 hour omega snow bomb. The 700 low actually tracked over like Pittsfield into S VT but we got destroyed by the WCB between about 6pm and 2am that night. moneypitmike
No longer giving the level of qpf in mass as the earlier runs, but still depicts 1.25. Looks like it could be all snow. It will be interesting to see what type of ratios can be driven from this.

mattlacroix4
I will take the QPF cut for a colder, snowier solution. Maybe we can improve the ratios while we are at it.
H2Otown_WX
Nice hit for SW NH... ORH taints some... BOS ouch.... almost all rain for CT and RI including the hills Yeah, looks like we're dead in the water pending the Euro. I guess everyone down here should have saw it coming. We had the GFS 72 hours out bulls-eye kiss of death yesterday lol.
CoastalWx
Look at some of the soundings in ern mass. They're enough to take 10 yrs off of someone's life. Nate is right, you could go from 33F rain to a paste bomb in 10 miles.

ORH_wxman
Ukie is kind of weak but colder. Keeps Ray all snow. But the weaker solution means less impressive qpf...much less so. At least it falls at night.
moneypitmike
Hopefully, 91 and rt 9 (Vt/NH rt 9) are decent for the Keene State admitted student day (begins at 9:00a.m.). Glad I hadn't taken off the snows yet.
Organizing Low
People come on it's April 1... borderline will not cut it for 95% of us. We need a PERFECT track of the sfc and mid level lows and 850 temps that aren't hovering around 0c but are solidly below 0c. At 1000ft you may get lucky with a borderline situation but for most of us no. The BIG hits from yesterday had a surge of -4c 850 temps on the backside of the deepening 850/700mb low as we cranked big lift. ive had a couple events recently where ive been on the good side of the blue line, and it hasnt done diddly. there will be disappointed people if they are relying solely on the 850 temp. defintely need the dynamics to crank or some elevation, will be interesting to watch it play out.
