SouthCoastMA
BOS gets absolutely destroyed this run. It looks like it was run from Jerry's computer. The 6z NAM will be run from your computer, then the 12z run tomorrow will look like it was run from Ski Mrg's computer. It's moving towards consensus it appears. HarveyLeonardFan
Yup 7" on April 7, 2003.... the last significant one before that was 6" here on April 9-10, 1996... parts of Long Island got 13" in that one. Dr. Atkins slipped on the ice in Manhattan during this storm and died shortly thereafter. Despite the calendar date temps were either cold enough or snow was heavy enough to accumulate on at least parts of the pavement in the City. In Newport I picked up around 3 inches but temps were cold enough that it could have been more if he we had been fortunate enough to get into the heavier snows. Do any of you guys recall an event from April 1992???during the late afternoon I remember being at a track meet in Middletown, RI and it started to snow heavily and by 4pm it started accumulating and parts of the south coast ended up with a few inches. Clinch Leatherwood
Well I'd defer to you Scott because I haven't had much time to analyze things down here in FL. Rick I'm not roped in on this yet, passive looks like you. Just saying many times we think a model has come around only to find the others go in a different direction. Let's see what the euro and the goofus. Srefs were atrocious on the last event too. Wish we could fast forward to the euro. The rest of this is just foreplay. mattb65
Yes please 0z NAM, although I think it still has some movement to do toward the Euro but I'm thinking it won't move so much to screw up MBY too much, just enough to bring in GC and some others to the party

OSUmetstud
Eh, I wouldn't be so sure...consensus isn't that far west. Its W of the NAM, but not by a ton. I'd rather take my chances on a further west and more dynamic solution...the NAM has the look of a long duration event with only a short period of heavy snows. weathafella
It's a sick solution for you. Dear mr fantasy Slow starter. SouthCoastMA
So as it stands now, the 18z GFS is on the western edge of guidance..the 0z NAM on the eastern edge, and the 12z EURO/GGEM are a compromise in between, while the GFS/EURO ensembles are still near the benchmark. I would love the EURO ens to verify!

It keeps the coastline in heavy snow for a good period, but back further W where we are its not as good. I'd think we'll probably end up west of this solution anyway, but I'm not sure it will be as far W as the 18z GFS type solutions.
bboughton
I must be going a little crazy. How much snow is the NAM suggesting for BOS? It seems to be that it's obscenely beautiful. It only gets better here if it ticks further west..
