Dark Backround vs. Light Backround

Took some images of buds opening up on the lillac shrub in the backyard today. Just curious what everybody thinks is the best backround for this type of shot. All images were taken with a 100mm macro and included a 25mm tube extension to get up nice and close. All backrounds are straight from the camera images using a black plastic board, white poster board and a textured shiny black plasticboard reflecting some sunlight.
