Sundog
Climo says NYC gets a decent April snow event once every several years. Look for models to converge on such a solution due to this fact.
Allsnow
Or he could post right now. Just sayin lol I was talking about his prediction on the gfs...metfan will be back in 30 mins...we all will be fine.
eduggs
I remain much more concerned about this going east than I am about it going west. The RGEM actually looks more similar to the 12z GFS height fields. Me too. I think the 12z GFS fields were the best of the day, no? Euro and UK had good runs too. ag3
lol I was talking about his prediction on the gfs...metfan will be back in 30 mins...we all will be fine. Metfan can be back now, it appears. He can post right before GFS shows 2" of rain for us and 2 feet of snow for Willorh.
Manny
The only model really showing nothing is the NAM. So, until tonight's verdict, most models have a potent shortwave that rides up the east coast.

nzucker
So far, 0z GFS seems a bit stronger with both shortwaves. Second shortwave looks much more cohesive and a bit further north at 18.
NortheastPAWx
Good seeing the entire crew here for the 00z drama...one of the last ones this year. With that in mind, where is metfan when we need him with the upside down South African model that we have to break our necks to view? earthlight
GFS looks slightly de-amplified over the southeast and a bit more amplified with the ridge axis over the Atlantic. The trough is definitely digging deeper across the Arlatex.

The rest is history lol.
