Calderon
Do they issue Tornado Emergencies for cases like this say for Nashville or does it have to be a confirmed tornado on the ground? They've issued 3, the Murfreesboro EF-4 on 4/10/09, a tornado that was reported but never found last October in Columbia, and most recently for Mt. Juliet and Lebanon in February. IsentropicLift
They've issued 3, the Murfreesboro EF-4 on 4/10/09, a tornado that was reported but never found last October in Columbia, and most recently for Mt. Juliet and Lebanon in February. I know they issue them frequently when there is a tornado bearing down on a very populated region. It would seem that the Nashville area is under the gun at the moment. I guess it needs to also be a strong tornado to fit tornado emergency criteria? Jim Marusak
Yeah, that was my birthday and Murfreesboro is my hometown and where I live again now. I was in Florida then, so pissed I missed it. you were pissed, but when my part of the warning info is being interrupted by calls from the local hospitals to assemble all nurses for emergency triage units, and you hear report after report of people looking for relatives, on your first major outbreak coverage since you started at a media company, let's just say i was shaken a bit on the way home that day. the next day i got a lot of kudos from WGNS, but it's a day i never forget. you wouldn't have wanted to be there that day.
