famartin
It seems like the GFS has a better handle on what's going on at present as compared to the NAM, just by glancing at radar, but I haven't done a detailed surface analysis of obs to confirm. famartin
Time to make this an obs thread with precip moving in. Snowing in Hagerstown at 700 feet. Raining in DC and Baltimore. I have a feeling ABE is going to at least mix if not go over to snow this evening.

tombo82685
Haha as for the second one too well the 2nd one its more longitude and latitude...there is a bigger warm section basically from 850 down. While this is just a bl issue.
Storm Clouds
Will this mean that tomorrow night's storm will be more snow than rain for elevated areas?
tombo82685
Will this mean that tomorrow night's storm will be more snow than rain for elevated areas? no, cause tomorrows system has a bigger warmer layer from 850 down. If you are outside the 850 line then the elevation will help. This system is all bl issues, while tomorrows the 850 line and bl causes issues. phlwx
Will this mean that tomorrow night's storm will be more snow than rain for elevated areas? It all depends on how quick storm #2 fires up...if it's a slow intensification then no...
