1 winner in Mega Millions $312 million!

I had 2 numbers and 2 were off by one (my #s were one too low). PB was off by 3!

Oh well I have to go back to work tomorrow. SIGH!

My tornado chase van we'll have to wait for another time. LOL

Don't feel bad.....how would you like to feel like this???....(absolutely true story)

About 15 years ago, a couple that my wife and I (girlfriend at the time) were friends with and were in a bowling league together, were visibly distraught as they entered the bowling facility on a Sun. evening, for our normal league play.

I asked what was up......the girl (Cindy) reached into here purse and pulled out a number of lotto tickets....all dated from previous draws, EXCEPT for the night before's draw....and all had the same numbers.......THEIR numbers...that they always played......

Well..... the previous day's numbers (all 6) were THEIR numbers.....but they didn't buy any tickets for that draw....nobody won, and the 9 million dollar jackpot was carried over to the next draw. I confirmed the PREVIOUS tickets were indeed the numbers that were drawn the night before (they had a lotto machine at the alley).....I felt sick to my stomach for them......

They divorced a year later.....

Story told to me by a guy that used to drive for Pepsi--The regular driver for the particular route took a week of vacation. He was in the habit of stopping at McDonald's for coffee, and they were having one of their monopoly games or somthing. The regular driver never bothered to even open the game pieces, and just left them in the truck. The driver that filled in while the regular guy was on vacation opened the whole pile of accumulated game pieces, and found an instant winner for $10,000. (Could be an urban legend, but it makes a good story anyway...)

I'm sure there are lots of these type stories.....it only makes sense that some of these HAVE to be true, just from a statistical standpoint, accounting for normal human behaviors.

My "big" serendipidous "win" was seeing a scratch off lottery ticket, lying face up in a parking lot.....it was one of those 2 games in one type game. Well, the second game (at a glace) didn't look like it had been scratched off....so I took a closer look, and indeed, the previous player forgot to scratch off the "quick win" play area......I did, and won a fast $10!!!

I bet someone came out a winner a year later!

Lucky people-I heard it was a group of them. My luck-is unlucky. We'd gone for the very first time to a casino-Foxwoods. Hubby wanted to play the one armed bandit. So he found a machine to play at. Guy sitting at it almost got up-he got up half way-said let me do this one last time-Hubby was standing next to him. Well...bells and whistles go off all over the place. He pulled it for a million dollars. We turned around and left-we figured it wasn't going to be our day.
