Hit 60 today here with full sun. Where's the rain they forecasted?

Should be close to a record today. 1.37" and going up.

More rain this month (5.42") than all of last yr to date.

Few buds popping out on some tree's now with this beautiful weather we've had the last 4 days but it still looks horribly bare outside.. At least the grass is as lush as my first girlfriends beaver.

When was that? In the 70s. lol

Any chance we some severe with the system coming through the Great Lakes this coming Saturday? GRB office said it's too early to determine, and MKX mentions storms, but not severe.

I think they have the temps severely underdone.

I'm surprised you think that. Anyways, are you insinuating that there will also be a better chance at severe due to daytime heating?

I don't know. These early season events are hard to pin down. Look at April 10th when they hyped S WI til the day of and it all went north. The only thing I'm sure of is I think the warm sector is underdone in the temp department. Today was even way underdone if you noticed. Yesterday they were forecasting 53 for a high today. It was in the mid 60s.

No question they underdid that, although I think having the rain clear out by late morning helped the temps recover.

Picked up a little over 0.60" of rain last night and early this morning. Grass is really green and growing around here now, despite the cold temps. The trees are still just barely opening buds and revealing very small leaves. Just looking out the window you really don't see much green in the trees yet. In fact the trees are just about as bare as they are in the dead of winter, which is beyond bizarre for around here as we are almost into May.

Yea. The good thing is detroit got dry slotted with the last few lows/gulf lows so I am not as mad that it wasn't a snow event.

Somehow someway Ive manged to only queeze out 0.60" of Rain since Monday Morning. Considering on Easter it looked like 4-5 inches of Rain through Wednesday

Yea we dodged quite a bullet so far. The NW part of the state has really been soaked. Wonder when we'll have 3-4 days straight of the sun?

This afternoon is nice despite the gusty winds! The current Sat view shows a nice few hours of sun. This should warm us up into the low 70s and increase the fuel for a couple strong T-Storms. Funny between the rain drops we have gotten a nice stretch of weather. Trees just bursting out of their buds. Leafing like crazy!

This weekend looks epic nice! Followed by a 2 day cool down then back to pleasant weather. The next 7 days look good for us SEMI folks!

The significant breaks in the clouds this afternoon allowed temps to get into the low 70s.

Not shabby at all.

Most places have averaged .75" to 1" of rain as of this afternoon, so this event isn't hardly a bust, though we may end up receiving final totals on the low end of what was expected.

And like I said about severe weather, this was never our storm anyway. SW Michigan quite frankly just lucked up yesterday.

Getting frustrated with the lack of severe weather in April (at least in Detroit) is like getting frustrated with the lack of snow in November.

What an odd statement issued by ILN. Who writes 0 point 9 6 inches for 0.96" ? Also since when is 1.08" in a day "shattering" a record of 0.96"? I'd imagine that 0.96" has got to be one of the lowest daily precip records for Cincinnati.

Their use of shattered was correct.
