Give me a break. Those models long ranges aren't that bad, even though they will change in allignment well before they hit 96hrs.

They did get the NE wrong last time they were posted, they had suggested the week coming up would be well below normal there and it couldn't be more different. Glad it's windy so some drying can occur, but some of the farm fields out by me are just swamps. I think in time the flooding will take the headlines, next week the spiket is on full blast.

Gasp actually a decent day for once! i can't even believe it, the sun is out and it is above 60 degrees. Here in Chicagoland, some of the trees are starting to come out and the bushes are blooming. I'm in town for Easter. Up in Grand Rapids, barely anything is blooming. It legitamitely looks like a barren January.

It's amazing how many times this spring the low pressure has tracked through central Illinois putting us in the cold sector while downstate Illinois and Indiana bask in the 70s and 80s.

If this were January, I wouldn't complain too much... Lows tracking through Central IL mean snow for MBY for the most part. However, they just don't want to go much farther north than N. IL... unless of course, something changes, and the lows track a bit farther north. I could use a string of sunny days with temps in the 70's......

This week I cancelled it 7 times....dude in the lawncare landscape biz it's feast or famine bro.

I just cut my grass today. Trees that line my street are greening up fast and most of the fence line brush has started to leaf out. At most I think we are 10-14 days behind the average norm. Don't think it matters all that much.

The long range models don't look terrible at all for temps. Remember April Showers bring May flowers. :guitar:

A solid nice day! :thumbsup::sun:

Wow at the models the next 5-7 days. System after system. Rain on top of saturated flooded golf courses. Might have to wait until mid-may to start the work golf league. No break for the ground to recuperate. More importantly, its going to get ugly in the ohio valley/depp south and midwest. Arkansas is going from a serious drought to a serious flood. Would be nice if we could take 2-3 inches from the south and spread it out over texas.

happens like this all the time. Didn't get one low pressure to come from the gulf or the south and put us in the best moisture transport all winter. Think we've had 2-3 already this april. This weather sux

Groundhog's blizzard was the best chance...unfortunately it went too far and southeast MI had to deal with the dryslot.

We were in the best moisture transport for the President's Day storm (granted it wasn't a Gulf Low).

The problem with that one though was poor lift after the initial burst of WAA precipitation. Thus we didn't get much in the way of trowal/deformation snows except another 1-3".

Getting spoiled.. 3 perfect spring days in a row allowed for the first grass cutting of the yr.. Grass looks awesome except its burned out in a couple small areas where the dog likes to make his yellow snow Picasso's..

51 out with a light breeze..doesn't get any better than that to do spring work outside. Get as far as you can west away from the lake in WI. and its 66 in the LAF of Wisconsin, La Crosse.

As far as I'm concerned there is nothing worse, weatherwise, than getting stuck in a long, cold, miserable weather pattern in mid to late spring. It really is becoming ridiculous around here. Overnight we got another 0.75" of rain and the next couple days will be cloudy, cool, and breezy again. I don't mind a cool, stratiform rain, but it's a real downer when the post-storm sun and warmth never comes.

Wouldnt mind seeing some storms, but hope rain doesnt interfere with any Tigers games this week. It has been a WET year so far here, over 14" of precip (rain and melted snow) and April is not over. Some spots of standing water ever since the snow melted in March have never fully receded.

MBY numbers are:

JAN: P- 1.68", S- 18.0"

FEB: P- 3.89", S- 31.8"

MAR: P- 4.00", S- 9.1"

APR: P- 4.65", S- 1.3" thru 8am Apr 26th

YEAR 2011 thru 8am 4/26:

P- 14.22"

S- 60.2"

DTW officially is a little behind,

P- 13.22"

S- 59.8"

Beautiful Day here so far. Partial clearing has allowed temps to skyrocket into the lower/mid 70s. Trees are really starting to finally green up. Should be fun watching the storms blow up this afternoon.

It is nice, the greenup is pretty and the simultaneous flowering of everything is awfully neat to see, not often so many trees and shrubs flower together. Looks active around D-town later. What analog are you seeing this summer?
