Indystorm
We get supercells in a CAPE and helicity-rich environment and we still can't get tornadoes. This year blows for severe wx. :x I think I saw a post on Tom Skilling's WGN Weatherblog not too long ago that we are actually ahead of last year at this point in the svr wx season. Yep, somewhat surprisingly SPC page shows we are ahead of last year at this point on tor reports.

SmokeEater
MESOSCALE DISCUSSION 0284 NWS STORM PREDICTION CENTER NORMAN OK 0659 PM CDT SAT MAR 26 2011 AREAS AFFECTED...CNTRL AND SE AL...CNTRL AND SW GA CONCERNING...TORNADO WATCH 62... VALID 262359Z - 270130Z THE SEVERE WEATHER THREAT FOR TORNADO WATCH 62 CONTINUES. NUMEROUS SUPERCELLS ARE UNDERWAY ACROSS FAR ERN AL INTO GA. THUS FAR...WHILE SOME CELLS HAVE OCCASIONALLY SHOWN STRONG LOW-LEVEL ROTATION...THE MAIN THREAT HAS BEEN VERY LARGE HAIL WITH THIS ACTIVITY. HOWEVER...A TORNADO THREAT REMAINS WITH ANY SUPERCELL...ESPECIALLY NEAR AND SOUTH OF A STATIONARY FRONT DRAPED ACROSS CENTRAL GA. AN INCREASE IN THE LOW-LEVEL JET WILL INCREASE HODOGRAPH SIZE THROUGH THE EVENING AND WILL MAINTAIN A TORNADO THREAT...THOUGH DIABATIC COOLING AND COOL OUTFLOW FROM ONGOING CONVECTION WILL HAVE A NEGATIVE IMPACT ON SFC-BASED BUOYANCY. A NEW WW MAY BE NECESSARY PRIOR TO 01Z TO ACCOUNT FOR ONGOING ACTIVITY ACROSS FAR SE AL INTO SRN GA. FURTHER TO THE NW...ADDITIONAL REDEVELOPMENT IS POSSIBLE WHERE VIS SATELLITE INDICATES AN ENHANCED CU FIELD RUNNING GENERALLY N OF A LINE FROM TCL-EET-ALX...WITH NEW CELLS UNDERWAY E OF TUP ALONG A COLD FRONT. MODERATE INSTABILITY /ML CAPE OF 1000-2000 J/KG/ AND STRONG LOW-LEVEL AND DEEP-LAYER SHEAR WILL CONTINUE TO SUPPORT A THREAT OF SUPERCELLS WITH A FEW TORNADOES AND VERY LARGE HAIL. AN ADDITIONAL WW MAY BE NECESSARY PRIOR TO 01Z TO ACCOUNT FOR THIS REDEVELOPMENT.
