2.71in of rain with crazy flash flooding here in the Linglestown area. 10.47in of rain now for April. Roads closed with the even worse flash flooding than the event a few weeks ago with 3.75in of rain. The storm around 400am was terribly vicious here with very high winds. Several large trees down within the township.

EF2 is probably the strongest to hit the area ever. How did Lancaster County fair? I know they were in a tornado warning around 11am.

No, there have been stronger to hit the area before. The most recent was the EF3 that hit Campbelltown in 2004. That was the second EF3 to hit Lebanon County since 1970.

You can see more here: http://www.erh.noaa.gov/ctp/severe.php#PAST That's a really cool search tool for severe weather.

The 1970 F3 touched down about 1.5 miles from my house(before it was built) and killed one person. Several of our older neighbors have talked about it before. The Campbelltown tornado scared us pretty good here....if you extend its path linearly, it approaches within 1 mile of our house...needless to say we took shelter as soon as that warning was issued. There was also an F2 in 1992 that touched down a bit over a mile away and traveled along the hill above our house, my dad saw it while looking out the back window.

Despite all of the warnings, we came out of it extremely fortunate. No confirmed tornadoes and minimal damage. River is up in Marietta about a mile from my house, but nothing too serious.

I just saw possible EF-0 EF-1 damage in Lehman Twp Luzerne County. A witness said she saw a tornado around 5am lit up by lightning come through the Back Mountain area. Trees snapped off around 30 feet off the ground, hundreds of trees toppled in different directions. Path seemed to be 50-75 yards wide and 1/2 mile long. I did a live noon report on wnep and will be back live in that area at five and six tonight.

90mph Microburst per BGM survey...

PUBLIC INFORMATION STATEMENT

A NATIONAL WEATHER SERVICE SURVEY TEAM HAS DETERMINED THAT THE
DAMAGE CAUSED BY WEDNESDAY NIGHT`S THUNDERSTORMS IN THE LEHMAN

SPEEDS IN THIS AREA.

LEHMAN TOWNSHIP IS LOCATED IN LUZERNE COUNTY TO THE WEST OF THE
WILKES BARRE METROPOLITAN AREA.

lol CTP sounds depressed this am:

.LONG TERM /MONDAY NIGHT THROUGH SATURDAY/...AFTER A RECORD SETTING WET APRIL...THE PATTERN DOESN`T LOOK TO BEIMPROVING ANY TIME SOON. SOME GUIDANCE EVEN POINTS TO A LATE SEASONNOR`EASTER WITH WET SNOW NOT ENTIRELY OUT OF THE QUESTION OVERWESTERN HIGHER ELEVATIONS. I CAN`T BRING MYSELF TO BUY OFF ON SUCHA THING AT THIS STAGE...BUT CERTAINLY HAVE LITTLE OPTIMISM THATOUR DISMAL CHILLY WET WEATHER WILL GIVE WAY TO AN EXTENDED WARMDRY SPELL IN THE FORESEEABLE FUTURE.THE FRONT IS FCST TO BECOME NEARLY STATIONARY TO OUR SOUTH...AS SOMANY HAVE SO FAR THIS SPRING...PROVIDING THE FOCUS FORPRECIPITATION THRU AT LEAST MID WEEK. BY TUESDAY NIGHT ORWEDNESDAY THE DEEPENING UPPER TROF DIVING INTO THE EASTERN GREATLAKES IS MADE TO FORM A SFC LOW SOMEWHERE OVER VIRGINIA OR NORTHCAROLINA...BEFORE MOVING UP OVER EASTERN PA AND SLOWING DOWN ASTHE UPPER LOW CLOSES OFF. AT THE VERY LEAST IT POINTS TO APROLONGED PERIOD OF RAIN...POSSIBLY HEAVY. THIS IS WHERE THEFORECAST POTENTIALLY GETS UGLY. AS THE STORM DEEPENS OVER THELOCAL AREA...COLDER AIR BEING DRAWN IN OVER WESTERN AREAS COULDCONCEIVABLY BRING ABOUT SOME WET MAY SNOWFLAKES. IT SEEMS A BITHARD TO SWALLOW SO LATE IN THE SEASON SO FOR NOW ONLY A CHILLYRAIN IS IN THE FORECAST.

Hey all. Updates are back up again on our page for PA. I been on hiatus for a while. lol

‎1:15 PM 5/2/11 (PA) | Partly to mostly cloudy skies are over the state today with temperatures in the south pushing towards 70 and remaining near 60 in the north. A few showers or storms are possible today mainly across the west. Tomorrow look for more widespread showers and storms across the state especially toward late afternoon into the early overnight. Some of the storms maybe severe and there is a slight risk out for central PA tomorrow from SPC. Will have more on the situation later this evening. (Forecaster Brisko)

Somebody is getting pounded near the State College to Williamsport area, man according to radar estimates, some places are over 3". I'm fairly impressed with this storm so far. I'v received 1.22" and counting, I'm wondering if my storm total will exceed 2". This pattern since the beginning of April has been extremely wet, and it doesn't look to let up anytime soon. Not only has the pattern been exciting, theres even a small chance of some snow showers tonight once the front pushes by
