ag3
6-12 high clouds for you. New RUC at 10pm tonight. I wish Ruc was a good model:
IsentropicLift
It has been snowing pretty much constantly here since 12:30. Mostly light with some heavier burst like the one about ten minutes ago. Still not sticking to the pavement but I'm picking up nice accumulations on the grass. Can't wait to get home about 5:30 and measure to see how much more I need to get to 7". Funny thing is, judging by radar you wouldn't think it was snowing as hard as its been. If it was January this would have been a high impact event. IsentropicLift
Winter Weather advisories hoisted! 2-4 tonight Yes! funny how they waited for most of the models to back off before issuing the advisories. Seems like they are always a step ahead of the new runs coming out.

bluewave
The forecast soundings indicate the potential for some elevated convection making it to around Central New Jersey or a bit further north tonight as you can see a pocket of higher TT's and steep mid-level lapse rates. winterwx21
I see Central Park reported only a trace this morning. I hope the park can squeeze out a light accumulation tonight, to put to an end the possibility of the city going 2 Marches in a row without accumulating snow. Weathergun
This is awesome. Never seen a snow threat here, with a slight/mod risk and watches this close to the area:
Ericjcrash
RUC shows 1"/hr snow for several hours later on. Since it will be dark and the ground has cooled there shouldn't be many problems accumulating snow. -This is however, if the RUC is right.
snywx
Snow has dramatically picked up in intensity up here... Roads/walkways are becoming snow covered once again.. Temp has dropped to 28.9* Hopefully we can achieve 6-8" for a total..
IsentropicLift
Despite the fact that the 18z NAM showed virtually nothing falling over our area, the 24hr accumulate precip still shows 0.25-0.5" additional

ag3
That precip over Ohio and Western PA, racing east, is our only shot. Hopefully it consolidates once coastal takes over and is cold enough to snow.

ag3
That stuff looks juicy, Algreek. Maybe some TSSN tonight if we get lucky? IDK. SnowGoose69
This is a setup similar to what goes on in the southern U.S. frequently when Tstorms move in from the warm to cold sector...this happened in north Texas a few years ago and places saw 10-12 inches of snow even though it was 35/32 or 34/32 when the precip moved in, and that was during the day.
