Thunder Road
the GFS, ECM and GGEM evolutions are actually strikingly similar for 6 days out. 12z GGEM extrapolated would probably be snowy for us In fact it's eerie how identical the 18z GFS is for the same hour: Feel free to add some pics from the Euro. Thunder Road
Major problem, however, if the storm keeps its current time is that most of the precip would fall during the day Sunday. Per GFS, sfc temps will be in the upper 20s, so we might be okay, but it's something to consider nonetheless.

LVblizzard
Really good setup here...strong blocking, decent confluence, cold air in place, and don't forget about the weekend rule. All we need is the storm to take a favorable track for the region for a good widespread 5-10" storm.

atownwxwatcher
Um thats the 264-276 one. He is talking about the 174-192 one You are correct thank you... I seen monster and the one from 174-192(.50 or less) would not be defined as a Monster IMO so i automatically thought ahead to the one that is a monster but too warm... atownwxwatcher
Umm...definitely consider that a monster for the first week of April. OK..now I am confused...the one from 174-192 hrs out is the last week of march... The one i was referring to (that i thought you meant by monster) is the first week of April... Too many storms over the next 10 days lol

Too many storms over the next 10 days lol This is an insanely active pattern: Overrunning this morning (had 1.25" snow here) Overrunning Wednesday-Thursday Coastal Sunday Coastal next Wednesday? I've never been so excited about snow in late March. Thank you NAO for delivering one more time.

I've never been so excited about snow in late March. Thank you NAO for delivering one more time. Most definitely a pattern that if pans out will make this one of the best endings to winter (even though technically spring)... Though this morning only resulted in a coating here of snow and sleet..this next one (wed thur) holds some promise to add more to the seasonal totals..and then I am liking the looks of Sunday....and we all know the following is going to change between now and then so that has to be watched for potential... greg ralls
Why is no one talking about this threat? Did it just dwindle out to nothing? Yes, I think it's gone: Sunday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 42. Sunday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 25.
