Yes I was wrong..As were you with your 3-6 forecast at 1:00 this afternoon

pretty much we all busted.. Every met here and every weenie..We all busted. i admit it. Do you?

lol I said at 1 that I hadn't looked at anything. That certainly wasn't my call.

After looking at radar..and admitedly having 6 Guinness...I am going to have to admit defeat on this. I lose. 1-2 tops.

At least the pattern is cold as we move thru day 10..so even though snow lovers lost tonight..the spring prancers have absolutely nothing to look forward to...so we all lose

Gee, we told you that 12 hrs ago...:arrowhead:

Has this really fell apart as much as it has just shifted south? Seems earlier model runs were just bringing the moisture currently in PA farther north into SNE. That moisture is still there...but it just appears to be sliding south.

The convection to the west completely destroyed any northward moisture component.

I wonder if those weenie flakes I had earlier is all I will see. I actually stayed conservative this morning and went 1-3" for the N ORH towns and 2-4 for Union...and those will be too bullish

Any explanation as to BOX sticking strong with 2-4"? Not criticizing, just curious, as most mets here seem confident in no accumulation or only 1" or less.

This thing has really fallen apart.. I don't have the Euro but I went to bed last night thinking 2-4... when I saw 12z runs today I was pissed.

Do you think it'll start to fill in as the coastal takes over from the primary?

Getting a nice snow here, coating all surfaces including roads. About .25" accumulation so far from the second wave after .5" last night, but it is a mixture of snow and sleet so not the prettiest.

32.2/32

Probably a good move. I never expected much, but I didn't think it would be this meager.

Not sure, that stuff to our west could still produce some steady snow and when the storm passes to our south, it will try and enhance any stuff going on in the mid-levels...later tonight. But I'm doubting if any of that is enough to even get to an inch where we are.

I don't think anyone could have expected it to fall apart as badly as it has making a forecast 12-18 hours ago.

It went to hell in a hand basket this morning. I didn't forecast, but I would have probably went for 1 to 3 inches last night and even into very early this morning, maybe even a bit more before the euro came out.

He had 2-4" for you in his forecast. Is it even cloudy there? unsure.gif

Skiing was fantastic at Wachusett tonight. Very fast, they actually groomed (sorry Pete).

Run after run, empty mountain.

Snow (light) started around 7:30

Dusting - 1" maybe for me... BOX says 2 on the map, more in the pointy pointy

I love WaWa

amazing that they open--not for snow or conditions, but for the lack of people--had to have lost money today/tonight...
