I got about 3/4 mile here now. Just starting to whiten the grass 33/28. Radar immediately up stream looks rather choppy, though. Not sure how long I'm going to hold on to this.

BAF down to 3/4 -SN...so at least somewhere is getting a steady snow capable of accumulating. That might bode well for later if that stuff from NYS gets in here...saturate the column ahead of time.

RUC goes to down here tonight developing a comma head kind of in place. It's a squeaker...but

If correct Phil will be winning like Charlie Sheen after midnight.

I was always under the assumption that forecast radar was one of the least reliable model tools... sort of like TV station's simulcast stuff... is that true? why don't we look at omega instead of some projected picture of what the radar might look like?

Because that's easier? The best omega is displaced just SE of that but there's more at play than just that. There's lower level forcing involved too, so that's a good representation of the cumulative change between the runs. It's not a forecast tool and I thought that was pretty well understood.

When 2-3 hours ago that shield was 75 miles SE and it's now come NW....we can surmize the associated dynamics also shifted. I'm working on a limited storage capacity of 40mb, by all means use some of your allocation to post those images.
