Reports of 8-10 Inches in towns like far Rockaway, Lake Hopatcong. Can anybody confirm these totals? Preferably with a ruler lol?

don't worry, he's not lying.

8.75" here so far..

what the heck happened overnight.. ?

Triple the model consensus qpf thru 12z in the Poconos, maybe quadruple in NNJ, the power of frontogenetic banding and the humility that comes with forecasting snowfall all wrapped into one.

37 and drizzle here.

Had a quick heavy burst of larger flakes, back to lighter, but that touched the 6" mark on the board...one of the few times my location does as well or better than a higher Elev....on the W.side of the skinny S. part of the plateau w/1000 ft dropoff down to the Lehigh Gorge near...Nine inches since Mon.now have us up and over the seasonal avg....in one of the strangest winters, this is now 1"under my most for 1 day and/or total storm (7")...
