AS of 5 am, woke up to a nice surprise: snowing moderately with 1.8" of snow already on the ground, including even about an inch or so on the asphalt street in front of my house. Temps are about 32-33F according to the various Weatherbug stations around me (32.8F at my house). So we've already achieved our storm forecast, lol. Radar looks very healthy - I could see 3-4" if this rate holds up before the sun starts to do any damage, i.e., before about 8 am. Haven't read the thread to know if everyone else is seeing the same. Snowfall maps from the NWS don't look any different. Hmmmm.....

NWS just expanded the WSWarnings to Northampton, Warren and Morris counties, yet still not even a WWAdvisory for Middlesex, where I now (as of 5:30 am) have over 2" and many folks sound like they're seeing similar amounts and given the radar, there's more on the way at least until sunrise. A friend just told me he has over an inch in West Windsor in southern Middlesex County. Traffic cams look like even 80/78 are a bit snow covered and I'm sure secondary roads are slick in most places. I think the NWS needs to wake up on this one, especially for the I-95 corridor in the Philly and NYC CWAs.

West Windsor is in Mercer

Its just rain in Philly. Gradient right now is more N/S or even a bit NNE/SSW. Probably more snow on the ground at BLM than at TTN (where as of 5AM, there was none).

Still nothing in Pottstown although we're about to get into a "heavier" band of precip. Probably will mix for a time with that band.

Despite me picking nits with their verbage yesterday, their snowfall forecasts last night and today are very reasonable for the region.

Edit: We're getting a few flakes mixing in now out the window.

We had a mix for a little bit but nothing coated. I dodged a bullet. :arrowhead:

I woke up just in time to see it snowing hard. Now it has ended. 34 degrees.

Glad we dodged the bullet in general, unlike our friends in NE PA and NW NJ......its still supposed to snow up that way this time of year anyway. They can have it.
