NJwinter23
the weather pattern in general that we have entered is a kicks in the balls. It doesnt matter if we get snow out of it or not, its gnna be cold and ****ty anyways...might as well get some snow instead of cold rain the way i see it. Though obviously I'd much rather warm Spring weather if i had the choice
uncle W
I like 80 degree weather this time of year but if it snows I'll take it...I wanted to see this year end up in first or second place for seasonal snowfall...It doesn't matter how much we get because it won't be on the ground to long... Analog96
Strongly agree...the snow was cool but at this point, wishing for snow, sleet, and rain pelting on my head over the 80 degrees we had Friday is a bit of a joke. What if we had the second coming of 4/6/82? Or even 4/7/03? Would you sign up for that?

RU848789
Got a late start this morning, so I drove in from Metuchen to Rahway from about 8:20 to 8:40 am. Heavy rain had just changed to mixed heavy rain/snow around 8:00 am and by the time I left Metuchen it had dropped from about 37F to 34F, via dynamic cooling - was really cool to see the changeover with big, giant honking aggregated flakes over 1" in diameter. It didn't really accumulate, with temps above freezing and a lot of water on the ground and it being daylight, but I probably had a slushy coating of 1/16" on my car when I left. During the whole drive, 9 miles to the NE, it was mixed precip and it stayed heavy mixed precip until about 8:45 am, when the intensity let up a bit and it was all rain. Went to work and didn't look outside for hours after that. Still, was pretty cool just to see those huge flakes. Earthlight - careful with the 80F comments or we might have to revoke your weenie license...
Isotherm
I'm in cold mode until mid april, so I say bring on the snow. As someone else said, pattern's going to be cold regardless, and cold rain is by far my least favorite type of weather. Much more miserable than snow at this time of year. jconsor
Thanks for the report! The NWS OKX post-storm snowfall totals have absolutely no reports from LI (as well as Westchester and Rockland counties), so reports like yours are valuable. 1/2" this morning that melted by 2pm.
