Damage In Tolland
Yeah maybe 1.5" or so here. I think Litchfield County looks good for 3" or maybe even 4". Been snowing here for 10-15 mins..3-4 looks good here
Mr Torchey
snow 36 starting to get a slushy accumulation on mulch and the deck, very slushy.
CT Rain
Been snowing here for 10-15 mins..3-4 looks good here I'd say 2 or 3 is a good bet for you. Looks like the best forcing stays over W and C New England.
ineedsnow
2 inches looks like a good bet here
Logan11
Around 1.5 inches thus far. Good pasting of moderate snow + ongoing. 31 degrees..... I hope that tailing stuff in Central NY can rotate through here ...because it's already done southwest toward BGM.
ineedsnow
looking at the radar it almost looks like some of that stuff in central ny might make it here

I'm surprised you only have 1.5" at that elevation after working 2/3rds through the precip field, while MRG Pete reported 1.5" like 30-60 minutes ago waaaay to your east. powderfreak
I was a little surprised at the amount...even at 2k. I didn't really think much about it, but now looking closer at the radar loop and other observations... its almost done in the Catskills and it looks like 2-3" even up in the 1-2K elevation band. If Pete had 1.5" a while back on the leading edge of the precip shield, he's on his way to warning criteria snow, haha.
HIPPYVALLEY
Went from a few stray flakes to steady SN- in less than 5 minutes. 34/26 Powdery snow.
powderfreak
He's using the cm side of the ruler I'm not calling him out on it haha.... but looking at observations on WXNET 6 out of the Albany area... at 8:30am there was 0.25" of snow accumulation at 2,200ft in Greene County, NY (Catskill region near Hunter Mtn). http://weathernet6.wrgb.com/view_report.asp?RID=1226 Pete had 1.5" at 2,000ft around 9am in the Berkshires. At 9:11am, Rick reported 1.3" at 1,000ft just west of Albany. http://weathernet6.w...rt.asp?RID=1223

powderfreak
9z SREFs cut back some from 3z. Not surprising at all after seeing the 6z models drop about a quarter inch across a lot of C/NNE.
Clinch Leatherwood
I was a little surprised at the amount...even at 2k. Albany/west was considerably warmer/higher dewpoints than those areas on/east of the shires. I think that probably had quite a bit to do with his measurement. Mr Torchey
moderate snow sticking on all surfaces except street I95 webcams show snow all the way back to the Greewich ny border and snow is sticking down that way on the grass next to the highway pouring snow right now
CoastalWx
9z SREFs cut back some from 3z. That's not a huge shock given the mid level track. We saw this with the second part of the 2/1 storm. It's still a good track for you I think. You can see the enhanced area of snow north of Albany and north of the s/w.

Logan11
Some 3 inch reports in the western Catskills and done there now..... The next batch stays along/north of about route 20 in NY and probably route 2 in MA I think..... Further south a quick few hour shot and out. I didn't really think much about it, but now looking closer at the radar loop and other observations... its almost done in the Catskills and it looks like 2-3" even up in the 1-2K elevation band. If Pete had 1.5" a while back on the leading edge of the precip shield, he's on his way to warning criteria snow, haha.

moneypitmike
That dry slot is looming large. Hope it can pass to my south, but I think it comes through here just the same. Very samll flakes. Okay intensity. The snow is winning the battle between spring solar radiance as the paved surfaces are becomoing covered. But, it is a battle even though it's 29.5/26. CoastalWx
I suppose we can use this for the current storm, but just to make things a little less clustered...I'm going to start a thread about Thursday.
dendrite
Not surprising at all after seeing the 6z models drop about a quarter inch across a lot of C/NNE. Most of the models are closer to 0.50" than 0.25" through CNE into ME. The SREFs are still holding a 0.50" contour from about me through W ME, but yeah...it's cut back in WNE. This isn't a good wind for the CV. I like what's approaching from upstate NY right now.
