ski MRG
We may be locked and loaded for at least 2 more chances including Thursday. At least for the next 10 days, Kevin made a good call with this thread. Glad to have the snow. After seeing bare ground in the HV yesterday I started to feel anxious. I was so happy to get back to my snowy lair. I would be bummed if the snowpack here didn't last well into April. Looks like we're going to be good for a while here now. Well glad you got snowpack, but the grass is actually greening up in parts of this area.
moneypitmike
It's having a hard time moving east of the CT River right now It's 30.6/26 here Radar's deceiving. I've been under echos since I came downstairs at 5:15. Nary a falke as far as I can tell. 29.6/
CoastalWx
It's having a hard time moving east of the CT River right now It's 30.6/26 here It will move in, but it's possible it will weaken a little as it moves east of the Berks.
ineedsnow
jackpot for you again congrats Radar's deceiving. I've been under echos since I came downstairs at 5:15. Nary a falke as far as I can tell. 29.6/
CoastalWx
The Berks and western CT stand to do the best in this, as the forcing may weaken a bit to the east, but we'll see how it goes. If it can stay strong as it moves into the ORH area, then it may bode well for eastern areas.
CoastalWx
Radar's deceiving. I've been under echos since I came downstairs at 5:15. Nary a falke as far as I can tell. 29.6/24 LOL, it's aloft. The main stuff is out by Rick in NY State. Just hold tight for a little bit.

powderfreak
It's having a hard time moving east of the CT River right now It's 30.6/26 here RUC has been pegging your area for a couple runs now... 9z looked real good for you as the lift out in C.NY swings ESE into CT. It showed a nice 3 hour ripper for you up towards Pete and Mike.
CoastalWx
Models did come in a little further north and more robust for Thursday. AWT. Although the 06z ensembles weren't all that pretty.

I was just giving Kevin a reply to Kevin's comment about difficutly getting past the river. It's difficult getting to the river, too.
CoastalWx
I'm holding. I was just giving Kevin a reply to Kevin's comment about difficutly getting past the river. weatherMA
I don't really know what to expect for today. I could see anywhere from a coating to 3 or 4". I guess I'll take what I can get since its been 22 days since my last accumulating snowfall.

weatherMA
Some area in NJ that were supposed to get a coating to an inch before rain are approaching 2". Can't be a bad sign for me being a little SE of where the advisories.

CoastalWx
3-5" is my call right now. Nice. I was thinking maybe widespread 2-3" but I could see some areas getting 4-5". My only reason is if this area of precip is rather narrow. Certainly temps support snow and perhaps a wetbulb down to 30 or 31F.
CoastalWx
AWT's smacking you in the face like a couple longer styled weenies Thursday is the storm you were stripping for so if that comes up, then your AWT's are warranted. The one on Sunday looks quite interesting as well.

nzucker
congrats to those up north Happy Spring!! raining 40 ait LOL, sucks to be you. You may switch to snow though as the echoes get heavier as that's what's happened here. Some parts of NNJ already have 2" on the ground! -SN 35.2/33, down from 39F just a couple hours ago. After being outside for the last 5 days enjoying the perfect weather, I have no use for snow, thankfully this is a rainstorm Who roots for rainstorms? Your area might have a tough time with the BL warmth given you're right near the Sound, but you still may see some flakes. Temperatures drop really fast when the heavier echoes move in, as I've gone from 39F to 35F since daybreak. NNJ is going to be adding a bit to its seasonal totals, and hopefully here too.
