free_man
spring peepers were out last night until 8 or 830 when it got really cold. Suspect they'll be quiet for awhile now but was nice to hear them. If it's going to be this cool all week it should at least snow. 30s, 40s and raw with melting snow on contact and splattering raindrops at lower eles...interesting that anyone would actually desire that type of weather, but it is what it is.P.S. Bustardi is going for a cold April? That is a good sign that we'll be above average at least the latter portion of the month.

mahk_webstah
Well this has been kind of a 5-6 week cycle thing. late Dec-early feb hardcore winter. Blocking left early Feb until now. If we can get out of this in late April, another 5-6 weeks then we could have a nice warm May which would be great for those of us who like to grow food. Just hoping no late freeze this year like last year, which messed with the apples.

I doubt the Thursday event delivers much for my area. It's something to watch which is fine after 7 weeks of nothing but I'm not getting excited about anything delivering. This time of year I really like a big nor'easter to get me excited.

I don't think it's that ridiculous for people above 1000' to get excited about an inch or two..heck HubbDave may get a few inches. I wouldn't rule out some spots in ne mass getting a coating to an inch as well. Even BOS might get a coating. I think for us low-land peeps, the Thursday threat is better, but even that may possibly come too close for comfort.

CT Rain
12z NAM has definitely shifted north. AWT. Maybe a slushy inch in the hilltowns... anything more significant seems off the table.

We'll have to see what the rest of the 12z suite does, but with a low track like that...it's not hard to see the better moisture farther north. I'll be in your neck of the woods tomorrow sort of (Blue Hill Ave area)...hopefully there is at least some snow flying if it's going to be cold and raw. Thursday could produce, seems like a crapshoot as to where, though.

Yeah exactly. I'm not too enthused to see the SREFs cutting back and the southward outlier tick north in a big way. We'll get some snow here in CT tomorrow but I doubt it will be anything impressive for more than an hour or so.
