jacindc
What side of the plant is the main gate on? I'm guessing the side that the wind is coming from.
Ginx snewx
Ok so winds are blowing west to east, hmm seems pretty clear levels would be lower at the west gate, the readings within 100 yards of #4 are said to be lethal according to US officials. Dunkman
I'm guessing the side that the wind is coming from. Yeah that's precisely right, the wind there is from the WNW at 16 mph according to WU (actually from the Fukushima airport.) I guess I was assuming they meant measurements in the control rooms, or by the reactors. I mean, what in the hell do they have to gain by lying at this point? Do they think people won't find out how bad it is? They know the U.S. is tasking drones, satellites, and radiation monitoring aircraft to the area. OSUmetstud
Spitzer on CNN is interviewing the spokesperson for the Japanese PM....he's not saying a damn thing...he could teach some US politicians a thing or two about doublespeak. Will not confirm nor deny the veracity of the NRC testimony today.

Anything? not really...he just basically wouldn't comment on what the NRC said today in repeated questioning. Also, they had the former director of the NRC who was in charge of TMI...basically said he doesn't think they're handling the PR all that well...but said "we really didn't either." samdman95
I'm sorry we might not get the global catastrophe some of you were looking for. I'm sorry it's hard to believe what they are saying, but the last time they said levels decreased, it turned out they changed the measurement location to the place the wind was coming from. I really hope this is getting better but TEPCO hasn't been exactly honest.
