PrinceFrederickWx
I'm no expert on this, but aren't these current weather conditions bad for starting wildfires though? (High temperatures, low dewpoints, clear skies, breezy, etc.)
Avdave
I'm no expert on this, but aren't these current weather conditions bad for starting wildfires though? (High temperatures, low dewpoints, clear skies, breezy, etc.) Yes, whenever there is low DP's and a gusty NW breeze like today, it wont take much to get a fire going. 80 with a DP of 43 here now, Maybe 43 tonight out here? Time to turn off the A/C and open windows and air out the house
Ian
I'm no expert on this, but aren't these current weather conditions bad for starting wildfires though? (High temperatures, low dewpoints, clear skies, breezy, etc.) it's pretty green still for the timebeing even tho it's been rather dry many areas. we dont really seem to run into terribly high fire danger around here except before greenup and after leaf fall. snowfan
Wouldn't be surprised if there were some high 30s tonight in the valleys in extreme western md. Frost watches out for NW PA. Windchill of 4 right now on Mt. Washington.

BethesdaWX
DCA is 65... and here its 53 according to Davis VP.....seems almost impossible for a ~ 10 mile difference. How much influence can the tidal potomac have? Barely notice any difference here, and I'm right on the river. Also noticed the fire-bugs are out early this yr, usually don't see them this early. smokeybandit
Took me 2 hours on the 23rd to mow my lawn...a record. Then went on vacation through this past Tuesday. In that short time, all my new grass went dead. Took me barely an hour to do the lawn today. I guess summer is officially here.
Herb@MAWS
MCS weakening but heading straight S-ward from S-central PA. Long way off but it seems to be consistent on bringing ~20°C 850's into the area on Wed/ Thurs. Just something to watch out for.

North Balti Zen
Trying for one of my favorite things...some rain with a few rumbles of thunder on a day when I don't have to immediately get out of bed. If that small area of precip pushes south of Towson, score.
