Nice touch of spring/early summer... but then we go back into the chilly, dreary crap by Friday/Saturday? And the following week isn't looking great. I can't remember a spring with so many cloudy, dreary, chilly days. Any sign of us flipping to spring, and staying there for more than a couple of days?

Looks like the NAO is headed toward tanking late in the period.. but that could just bring it to near neutral after being pretty positive. I'm not sure when the range is that a -NAO actually gives us heat -- we had a -NAO during chunks of last summer and it apparently helped us perform on the heat angle.

Yeah this flipping back and forth is worthless, Keep it one or the other. The one time I am looking for a SE ridge to build and I cant get one at all. Go figure.

Hmmm...I guess we lose some CAD situations in winter. But, what if the Apps were say where the Bay is now? We could have Lake Effect snows LOL!

Did you enjoy todays wx? ;)

As for the -NAO, there is a big fat SSW event over the Arctic right now, so if we're in the range where -NAO still chills us, the colder ideas in the LR seem more plausible.

Damn, you have been here a while, this isnt typical spring here is it? I can see this being normal in March especially late march. Nutty weather

i dunno.. 07 was not a pleasant april, 09 was not warm either for most of the beginning. last yr was really warm. i think april is still cutoff season but we seem to be squandering most of our "nice day" ops of late. either hot or cold.

Just so frustrating as we are in the window for what could be delightful weather with temps in the upper 60s to low 70s. Hard to not be concerned (for me) that spring will slip into summer with the nice weather window closed and cloudy and cool flipping straight into very hot.

Thx, but wasnt Apr 09 warm for the first week to 10 days? That was my first spring here and we had 4 or 5 days in the 90's to kick off the month I think, not 100% sure on that. either way still looks like tues-Wed looks miserable once again here

I stand corrected, Thanks, dont know why I thought it was in early april. Oh well. the 24th thru the 29 was a nice stretch of temps. hope we can break this pattern soon here and get some steady seasonable temps for more than 2 days in a row
