CranberryWX
Just got back from a trip to Morgantown where it was cool and dry to find a tormado watch out for my area until 9 PM. Currently a thunderstorm in progress with heavy rain. Almost a 1/2" in the past hour or so. Got a 1/2" from the storm yesterday.
BethesdaWX
This weather blows. Monday Could Crack 90 though? Still scarce green vegitation and a S wind, recipe for models to bust cold.

Sparky
It still looks mainly like winter at my house. There are buds on the trees but the cherry blossoms have not bloomed yet and there are no leaves on any trees yet not even small ones. Grass is just beginning to grow slightly. BlizzardNole
Boooooooooooooo! Wake up to find out the front won't come thru till tonight and we're looking at another dreary day. CranberryWX
Heavy fog last night. It burned off this morning and it got hot quick. Hit 80 just after 1 PM...DP is up too at 67, feels sticky. Today will be the first day for A/C.

Some brightening slowly here nothing major though, looking at some traffic cames down near SHD, the sun is out though got to love how the clouds just roll right up north into Loudoun Co. Ian
LWX -- I still say we'd be better off without the Apps. Near term /through tonight/... welcome to cold air damming. Low clouds persist under a wedge of surface high pressure across areas east of the Blue Ridge...and in the Shenandoah Valley and western Maryland. Ridges above...say 500 feet...are sunny as indicated by visible satellite. The warm front stretches down the central Appalachians...then along the Georgia/SC border. This will hold well today. LOL is there lower lying land just east of the blue ridge than say places just east of that? seems the clouds bank there then melt away slowest in that area.. could just be 'thicker' i guess. definitely brightening here a bit too. this is like a San Fran airmass that can go from cloudy to pretty clear in no time. BethesdaWX
Wonder how close the front is exactly? It'd be good to see at least some sun, although temps are beginning to climb in the past hr.

Nothing that would make a difference, it is just some rolling hills east of US 29. sun broke out around 130 or so I guess it was as we were running around. Only 63 here now with some high clouds. Defintely tell the front has moved East somewhat out of WV from this morning.

FrederickWX
Nice touch of spring/early summer... but then we go back into the chilly, dreary crap by Friday/Saturday? And the following week isn't looking great. I can't remember a spring with so many cloudy, dreary, chilly days. Any sign of us flipping to spring, and staying there for more than a couple of days?
