Not to often in spring that I'm at 61F and full sun in mass while you guys down there are at 50 and overcast.

Enjoy it while it lasts. sun.gif

it is even worse than that.... high 46.7 so far, clear overcast and fog until noon.... 35 miles west and over the mountains 60 s and 70 s...

Next two days will be very different with 80 likely

i'd expect some sun in here in the next 30-60 min looking at sat. we might have finally turned the page.

Some brightening slowly here nothing major though, looking at some traffic cames down near SHD, the sun is out though

got to love how the clouds just roll right up north into Loudoun Co. LOL

LWX -- I still say we'd be better off without the Apps. ;)

Near term /through tonight/... welcome to cold air damming. Low clouds persist under a wedge of surface high pressure across areas east of the Blue Ridge...and in the Shenandoah Valley and western Maryland. Ridges above...say 500 feet...are sunny as indicated by visible satellite. The warm front stretches down the central Appalachians...then along the Georgia/SC border. This will hold well today.

is there lower lying land just east of the blue ridge than say places just east of that? seems the clouds bank there then melt away slowest in that area.. could just be 'thicker' i guess. definitely brightening here a bit too. this is like a San Fran airmass that can go from cloudy to pretty clear in no time.

Wonder how close the front is exactly? It'd be good to see at least some sun, although temps are beginning to climb in the past hr.

it's still way south in the carolinas.

Nothing that would make a difference, it is just some rolling hills east of US 29. sun broke out around 130 or so I guess it was as we were running around.

Only 63 here now with some high clouds.

Defintely tell the front has moved East somewhat out of WV from this morning.

Nice touch of spring/early summer... but then we go back into the chilly, dreary crap by Friday/Saturday? And the following week isn't looking great. I can't remember a spring with so many cloudy, dreary, chilly days. Any sign of us flipping to spring, and staying there for more than a couple of days?
