Maybe there is something the Electric Powerplant could do? There is a powerplant about 1 mile downriver from me with a Dam on the potomac. The riverbank here is very high, so releasing less water may help the situation down there in DC/little falls.

I can see the river and most of the rocks usually exposed are covered completely.

I believe that dam is for WSSC, not PEPCO, and it isn't really the type that can be used to avoid flooding upstream.

good thing it wasnt a major flood i guess... looks like a mess

A mess indeed. My girlfriend works right across the street from the harbor and they're asking all employees to leave early because of concerns about the upcoming high tide.

I'm sure the restaurants that are right there aren't too pleased with the failure to get the flood walls up.

Temps overperfoming everywhere.

Smells good outside.

75.4 at home. Nice.

I don't know my DC hydrology, and I was out of the country for two weeks, but I guess I'm kind of surprised by the river flooding. We've had plenty of storms over the past few years that have dropped a lot of rain. What made this one special? It has been wet for a little while now, but it followed a mostly dry winter.

One of the heaviest axes of precip was right over the Potomac basin and the elevated areas around there. Seems like those places were already fairly water logged. Though the pattern seems kind of spotty/odd. For the most part it's a minor flood event by the numbers. Georgetown probably wouldnt have had the issues if the flood wall was working.

LWX was forecasting a high of 67, Most WXbug stations are in the upper 70's, with Bannokcburn ES near 80.

must be the dry ground and lack of greenery

00z Euro looks pretty warm after the Thurs/Fri cool shot. A little sustained Spring would be nice.

A few clear, sunny days would be nice. The forecast for this weekend still looks iffy.....most cloudy with scattered showers and highs in the low 70s.

for the love of ****, is it ever going to stop raining around here?

I hear ya bro, I know you really want it to stop to get your project done. but once it is done, you wont be able to use it as the next 10 days look bleak. It really is depressing and aggravating. I cant wait to get to CHS in a few weeks to have more than 2 days of sunshine, this wx blows

I would kill for a Bermuda high right now  Normally I love lots of rain, especially in the spring. this is just falling at the wrong time this year.

plenty of time for dry

I'm sure I'll regret that post in July and August. My 5 day deck and patio project is now stretching into it's third week because it won't stop raining during on weekdays. just getting frustrating

Just moved to Boyce in Feb.

Where do they live in Boyce? It is a tiny place?

FYI : About to leave WV and head back to Boyce right now.
