skierinvermont
Nice pics everyone.. everything is loving the sun. My plants have really taken off the past few days. Pumpkin plant is 12'+ now with a few secondary vines. picking the zukes are basically your preference. They're less seedy when young (say 8") but you'll get a lot more in weight if you let them go to 10" or 12". I usually will just go into the garden and pick anything between 8" and 14" and then grill up some for dinner. Basically repeat that every 2 or 3 days from July to September. I always forget to pick them and then they get too big very quickly which is a waste because it uses up a lot of the plants energy. Feeling a little overwhelmed with the garden lately.. basically needs an hour or two a day of my time and I'm never home during the day to mist things during the heat of the day.
