It's raining 20 floors up from street level on Charles Street. I would guess it's hitting the ground. And, Ian, I remains 2 miles west of I-95 at the present time...

GENERALLY ONLY A TENTH TO A QUARTER OF AN INCH PER HOUR BUT THIS

WILL RENEW STREAM RISES AND POTENTIALLY CREATE FLOODING CONCERNS

LATE THIS AFTERNOON INTO THE EVENING HOURS.

A FLOOD WARNING MEANS THAT FLOODING IS IMMINENT OR HAS BEEN REPORTED.

STREAM RISES WILL BE SLOW AND FLASH FLOODING IS NOT EXPECTED.

dont be too specific about this, i'm just going by the NWS text forecast, and the radar appearance.

Going by radar appearance would not be a good thing to do with this storm... especially since the stuff that's supposed to hit us later hasn't really even formed yet (the NC stuff... just starting to go, but isn't nearly as robust as it's going to be later).

I just spoke with H20 - he can confirm that it is indeed raining in Fairfax VA. ION, he said he felt raindrops. He told me to tell you ... thank you for the help.

how close is he to i95?

i think the stuff coming later is in sw va

edit: i guess that's sort of the same stuff perhaps
