ThePhotoGuy
I have a Vantage Pro 2+. It took me several months to save up the $$$ to buy it lol, but its well worth it in my view. The station also comes with an optional data package/software, so you can load your Station onto WXbug Live network, and see more detailed OBS for the station though your computer. Its a proffessional station, runs off solar during the day, and battery during the night, measures everything out there. I like it I installed mine on the roof for the highest wind readings/sunlight, so if you want to do that, keep in mind the batteries need to be changed every 5-10 months depending on the amount of sunlight you get, so you'll have to go up there and change it yourself. http://www.davisnet.....asp?pnum=06162 There are other, less expensive versions that are very good as well. Thanks! It looks like you have a really nice set-up!
BethesdaWX
Thanks! It looks like you have a really nice set-up! Thanks. The only problem I ever had with mine was the rain bucket broke off during the 7/25 storm. But the station continued to trasmit data. It was very easy to order a new tripod system and install it too, and I got it free. So if you're considering it, I think you'll be quite pleased. BethesdaWX
Now I just need to find a better job to pay for it, lol haha, as do we all...it was out of my price range completely...took me 6 months of manual labor for neighbors to find the money, including my broken hand I had the old Vantage Pro2 for a few years, price down to about $400 I think cheers
stormitecture
There is a swift water rescue box on River Rd in Crownsville. Reported people trapped in a vehicle in high water. All vehicles were able to self-extricate. Wow...I got all excited...seeing "River Road"...then realized where Crownsville was...Not the River Road I was up and down today.BTW. I am looking to sell my Vantage Pro (Wireless) & Monitor II (wired). PM if you are interested.
WVclimo
Cold air nosing in under the UL low causing some precip to redevelop. Bet most of this is wet snowflakes, especially at the high spots.

EastCoast NPZ
From the reports I've seen, Stephens City once again appears to be the loser in the precip game. We did end up with our best total since last Aug or Sep (can' remember exactly) though - I measured 1.2 inches total for this event. .1 inches came wed night. Although we missed out on the bulk of the precip from the first wave, we did pretty well yesterday evening.

You know its been a depressing few weeks when we're arguing about if a rain storm sucked or not..anyway I dont have an exact estimate but I would guesstimate that Essex saw 2.75-3" of rain..Philadelphia rd and Campbell Blvd was closed for a time because the creek in Nottingham spilled into the road...Anyway, on to somewhat drier and warmer weather

It didn't suck and I'm mainly just pointing out that once again his posts came across as whiny and didn't really add to the discussion. I'm not arguing about the storm itself. I pulled a random set of posts from the night of the storms - March 10 - 6:52pm this looks...suckish. March 10 - 6:57pm just had a quick rainburst, ended in 10 seconds.\\wind ha shifted but not gussting much at all f**k this March 10 - 7:03pm what storm? The split grows tiresome after awhile. March 10 - 7:11pm Yep I'm commiting suicide tonight, bye y'all Don't be sore now, last weekend is in the past March 10 - 9:06pm Oh I know you weren't, winterwxluvr is just holding a grudge on me Anyway, temperature down to 47 degrees,10 degrees in 2 hrs. sweet And just for the record - it's not a grudge if people are just reacting to your posts. I don't have a problem with you but you have to realize when it's getting to be a little much. I count 3-4 posts there in a matter of like 20 minutes.
