BaltimoreWxGuy
I wanted to create this topic because recently I have heard a lot of opinion on the supermoon on the 19th and its possible effects on weather and a big storm developing..Frankly I think its a little ridiculous to say that a big storm will effect the area just because a full moon is occurring during the moons closest approach to earth. But I wanted some professional opinion as well, just to be clear about it...I myself think winter is done for our area and have said so since 2 weeks ago, but the 12Z GFS has a storm, of course its 300+ hours out but its on the 19th...coincidence? just wanted opinion. BethesdaWX
people in Los Angeles could say the opposite. Just depends on what the weather wants to do.
MD Snow
Don't really buy the whole supermoon theory but the GFS has had some kind of storm for 4 straight runs on the 19-20 timeframe.

It's day 10-11... I'd wait a few more days before I would actually start looking for trends.

Ellinwood
make that 5 straight runs lol Last 4 runs show 2 lake cutters, one suppressed solution and one that has a "coastal redevelopment"... i.e. all over the place. And yeah I do know that you're just effin around

BaltimoreWxGuy
To revisit the original topic... coastal storm replaced with high pressure oops Well as noted in the original post, I didnt believe it would have an effect on an actual potential storm, but some people feel strongly about it doing so, so I just thought Id open it for discussion, but clearly topic fail.
