well folks thats a lot of rain heading towards us in NEPA. The snowpack is melting upstream from Wilkes-Barre, 31 foot crest expected (at least when I was doing my live shots earlier tonight) that will put several roads underwater come saturday morning. I've already been called in to work the early morning show Saturday wherever the flooding is the worst. We'll see what tonight brings. Flash flooding also concerns up this way.

Good luck up that way. My wife is from Pittston. Fortunately from the hilly section.

Those who were trying to downplay this from around here, and some in the NYC thread are going to be sadly mistaken.

DELAWARE-PHILADELPHIA-

817 PM EST THU MAR 10 2011

...COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 8 AM EST

FRIDAY...

A COASTAL FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM 1 AM TO 8 AM EST

FRIDAY.

* COASTAL FLOODING...A 2.5 TO 3.5 FOOT STORM SURGE NEAR THE TIME

OF HIGH TIDE WILL RESULT IN WIDESPREAD MINOR TO AREAS OF

MODERATE COASTAL FLOODING EARLY FRIDAY MORNING.

* TIMING...REEDY POINT DELAWARE HIGH TIDE IS 232 AM FRIDAY.

PHILADELPHIA HIGH TIDE IS 530 AM FRIDAY. HIGH TIDE VARIES

ABOUT AN HOUR EITHER SIDE OF THESE TIMES AT DISTANCES FROM

THESE PARTICULAR GAGING STATIONS.

* FORECAST HIGHEST TIDE...PHILADELPHIA 9 TO 9.5 FEET MEAN LOWER

LOW WATER. THE REEDY POINT THE HIGH TIDE IS EXPECTED TO BE 8

TO 8.5 FEET MEAN LOWER LOW WATER.

* CONFIDENCE...OCCURRENCE FOR MODERATE STAGE THRESHOLD IS MUCH

ABOVE AVERAGE AT PHILADELPHIA AND A BIT ABOVE AVERAGE AT REEDY

POINT.

* LESS THREATENING OPTION...IF THIS FORECAST ENDS UP SLIGHTLY

LESS THAN THE MODERATE THRESHOLD IT WOULD BE ATTRIBUTABLE TO

THE SOUTHEAST WIND LESSENING ENOUGH TO RELEASE THE SOME OF THE

WATER PILING UP IN THE CLOSED UPPER PORTION OF THE WARNING

AREA. HOWEVER... ITS PROBABLY MORE THAN THE WIND AND LOWERING

PRESSURE CONTRIBUTING TO THE SURGE. IN THIS CASE...THE RUNOFF

FROM ANTICIPATED DAILY RECORD RAINFALL ALONG THE DELAWARE

RIVER HAS INCREASED STAGE FLOWS IN THIS BASIN.

* FORECAST HIGHEST TIDE...PHILADELPHIA 9 TO 9.5 FEET MEAN LOWER

LOW WATER. THE REEDY POINT THE HIGH TIDE IS EXPECTED TO BE 8

TO 8.5 FEET MEAN LOWER LOW WATER. THESE HIGH TIDES WILL OCCUR

OVERFLOWS ITS BANKS. IN DELAWARE COUNTY...FLOODING OCCURS IN
