Ellinwood
i'd still lean to our south and southeast.. maybe not far, but it's tough to say what the northern extent of the worst is svr wise. the commute's going to be fun though... should have some flash flood warnings fly at least. These were my original thoughts when this event sprung up several days ago... might have to retrograde back to them Still hoping for severe in the D.C. area, though! I don't know how you do that lol. Just imagine a normal day, but shifted 5 hours earlier. That's how I roll.

yoda
DISCUSSION...LINE OF FORCED CONVECTION/ISOLD TSTMS APPEARS TO BE INCREASING ATTM FROM VICINITY OF DEEPENING SFC LOW IN S CNTRL VA SWD THROUGH CNTRL NC. GIVEN VERY WEAK SFC-BASED BUOYANCY...THIS TREND MOST LIKELY REFLECTS INCREASING UVV ASSOCIATED WITH TN VLY UPR VORT THAT IS BEGINNING TO TAKE ON A NEGATIVE TILT. VERY STRONG...LARGELY UNIDIRECTIONAL WIND FIELD WITH BACKED NEAR-SFC FLOW...AND INCREASING LOW LVL MOISTURE SUGGEST POTENTIAL FOR ISOLD TORNADOES IN ADDITION TO SMALL BOWS/MESOVORTICES WITH DMGG WIND.
