Ginx snewx
Latest Euro says find your sh*t kickers because it's mud up to your eyeballs... I like Don Merediths version better. Not completely done yet though, one more for the road come week 3 ?
DeVries
The sun angle will be back over 50 degrees in about 3 weeks. Maybe we can get some 90 degree temps in late March this year.
weathafella
I'm hoping for one more dump to bring us deep into the 80s/90s but it's a long shot in this pattern. Still.....it can always happen. I'm heading to ORD 3/17-21....perhaps a better shot there...

weathafella
Yup, Not yet Not over. But petering out. Small chance of significant snow here at some point but the pattern says probably not. You have a much better chance.
ORH_wxman
GFS tries to pull off another Dec 1992 next week but with ML temps 0.5C too warm...kind of like last March.
NECT
There's still more snow IMBY than I would ever expect to linger from January. Since I live in SNE, I'm happy that it has more or less been melting slowly. As much as I enjoyed this winter, the thought of torrential rains and torches that are pretty common in these parts in Feb. had me a bit worried. So now at least, my kids can talk about a good old-fashioned winter when we have another 2001 (or whatever year it was thereabouts when winter was about 1 week) So now I'm off to snowblow my entire yard to find the crocuses.. Typhoon Tip
Great sentiment but ... I'd consider replacing the sub-title of this thread from "..Petering" to '...Petered out a long while ago but duped a lot of people into needlessly obsessing in hope to no avail for a month...' I'd consider replacing the sub-title of this thread from "..Petering" to '...Petered out a long while ago but duped a lot of people into needlessly obsessing in hope to no avail for a month...' and some people are still hoping (maybe we can sneak in a foot in the next two weeks)
nzucker
and some people are still hoping (maybe we can sneak in a foot in the next two weeks) It is too early to give up...no one can see what the pattern can be like March 20th onwards, and plenty of places in SNE can reasonably expect snow at that juncture.
