I mean no one except hagerstown west was forecasted for any kind of wintry precip tonight and look at what we've got. I seriously doubt the precip will make it east enough to the annapolis area but it's still pretty fun to track. Saw the temp drop from 60 to 40 in 3.5 hrs. Now at 37. NW winds gusting to over 30mph, wind chills are refreshing, in the teens. This area of precip now overhead turns out to be just light - But we are getting sleet - which was NOT forecasted here until about an hour ago as NWS played frantic catchup with nowcasting lolz Time to hit the rack - I've seen light sleet before. Only nine months til December. I'll spent the night dreamin' of all that wind-driven snow on RT 9 - Dreamin' of digging fresh snow west of Hillsboro and savoring a sweet snow jebwalk, playing Bee Gees and ELO songs as the wild 40 mph winds blow all those HUGE wet snowflakes past the streetlights............... Oh what could have been.........I had it right in my hands - Just like the Redskins had the ball - And I dropped it. My last chance --- Gone forever for another ten months.
