It's going to struggle to transition to FZRA until 9-12z I fear. We'll see how it goes. I won't be awake for it though.

THE RIVER WILL LIKELY TOP FLOOD STAGE OVERNIGHT AND CONTINUE TO FLUCTUATE THROUGH THE NIGHT DUE TO THE UNPREDICTABLE NATURE OF ICE JAMS. RAIN OR MIXED PRECIPITATION WILL CONTINUE TO CHANGE TO SNOW THROUGH THE NIGHT, IF IT HASN`T ALREADY AND TEMPERATURES WILL FALL INTO THE 20S. THIS WILL BRING AN END TO RUNOFF FROM RAIN AND MELTING SNOW AND WILL HELP THE ICE JAM TO FREEZE UP AGAIN. PEOPLE LIVING OR TRAVELLING NEAR THE RIVER SHOULD MONITOR THE ICE JAM AND WATER LEVELS CLOSELY. PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS... DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH FLOODED AREAS...IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KNOW IF THE ROAD IS SAFE FOR TRAVEL. TURN AROUND...DONT DROWN! Mica Vim Toot
Toot. Yes, we stole your January snow. We would do it again. We will neither repent nor assuage. We are now keepers of your mud. We will relinquish the mud, but only after we visit and selfishly use your snow. Vim vim So you're the one, huh? Stop, thief. You and your pillaging tribesmen from the steppes of CT Minor stole my snow. Was it worth it? Snow torn from it's rightful place, cursed by we elders of Aroostook that the vandals would rue the day they piled our snow away. And the day is here now. You defy us from an unsteady perch. You have feet of mud. Mire is your reward. Wallow and slog in your swag, mudcat. Keep your gumbo and ooze, bootslop. Just leave us your money when you come up to visit with our snow, silk stockinged rusticator. Vim Toot!

You sir, have the appearance of a decent fellow, thus the far reaches of NNE have been granted March snows that are your sovereign right. Our ooze, which approaches sever inches in parts, alas, is destined to follow, such as it is necessary. Glad you can still poop. CNE certainly outranks the bottoms of SNE as vassals to dogsbodies. ------------------------------------------------------ We are having a snow eruption here. The snows we pilfered are being returned where they belong whether I like it or not. I'll have to resort to paying to see snow very soon. Too late to wax poetic about it all. OKpowdah
Holding steady near 34F at Plymouth. RUC is warmer aloft, and would end up as significant icing, but we first need to actually fall below freezing, which is proving to be difficult

J.Spin
Event totals: 6.8” Snow/1.89” L.E. Sunday 3/6/2011 10:30 P.M. update: In the 4:30 P.M. to 10:30 P.M. timeframe, 4.4 inches of snow fell here, indicating an average snowfall rate of 0.72 inches/hour. Since this round of snowfall accumulation doesn’t have any mixed precipitation in it, it should serve as a good measurement of the density of the snow falling with this system. It’s not quite down to 10% H2O, but at 11.4% H2O (8.8 to 1) it’s certainly less dense than the earlier sample that had some sleet/rain in it. I’m not used to eyeballing snowfall rates as well with these tiny flakes, but it’s certainly coming down out there – I went with a rate somewhere between snow and heavy snow. Some details from the 10:30 P.M. observations are below: New Snow: 4.4 inches New Liquid: 0.50 inches Snow/Water Ratio: 8.8 Snow Density: 11.4% H2O Temperature: 26.1 F Sky: Snow (1-3 mm flakes) Snow at the stake: 28.0 inches
