Iastfan112
This system is disappointing. Really surprised it couldn't do any better than this up north. It left so much energy potential behind it is trying to spin up another low further east lol. Agreed, really dis pointing that it was showing really heavy precip for my area up until 24 hrs out, then it went lighter but barring some strange turn of events we're going to under perform even the lighter snows shown the past 24 hrs. Seems like the models have been pretty poor for nearing in on a month now.

cyclone77
Rain finally picking up here. About a quarter inch so far. These cold rains are starting to get kind of old. Either get us some snow, or get us in the warm sector. This 37 and rain crap is getting pretty old.

hawkeye_wx
The snow here didn't last long. We got a quick few tenths of an inch, then it switched back to light rain once the better radar returns moved out. When the next batch of better precip moved in it was just rain. I've had about a half inch of rain.
turtlehurricane
Badger- Is it sticking to the concrete? Money- Where do you find the HRRR? We had almost all rain from 11:30 pm to 1 am, but snow is mixing in again, in fact it's almost all snow with plenty of aggregates. Ground is getting whiter by the minute. turtlehurricane
Rapidly changing between rain and snow, and all in between. Alot of big aggregates coming down now. The rain is borderline supercooled based on a temp of 31.9° F on top of the met building, so I wouldn't be surprised if it starts building up on trees and metal. turtlehurricane
Just went out for a walk, solid layer of ice and snow on the ground with almost all snow coming down. Quarter sized aggregates starting to come down too.
Iastfan112
Snow doggedly hanging on, if it manages to retrograde a bit as I've seen depicted on a couple of RUC/HRRR runs I could actually squeeze a decent snowfall out of this storm.

wishforsnow
It is a wash out for NW UP Michigan. I rather have it that way though. I am ready for spring. I want the snow to go so I can get the yard cleaned up and wash all the salt off of my truck. It has been an easy winter by our standards. I don't think we are even going to get the average yearly snowfall. John Dee counts 180" where he lives.
BowMeHunter
Getting Clay Matthews blitzed ATM. Me FTL Got a quick slushy coating overnight when heavier returns went over... All rain @ 5am with heavier returns down south.. those must have moved in around 5:45 as it went to hearing sleet pinging the windows.. to lazy to get up and see if any snow was mixed in until I heard the pingers stopped at 6:15.. To my surprise it was all snow just starting up.. wisconsinwx - FTW.. Congrats man. Light stuff starting.. Clay Matthews with a bead on the QB about 5 mins later. Mogget
Beautiful in Madison right now. About four inches or so, and still coming down moderately in very large, fluffy-looking flakes. However.... snowplows FTL. Apparently they didn't get the word so there are numerous accidents because there's quite a layer of icy crap under the snow. Edited to add: Dunno what the problem is w/ Truax. Definitely more than two inches and piling up nicely. Maybe just that they're on the east and I'm on the west or something. Ottawa Blizzard
The precip seems to be late arriving, it not having reached Toronto yet. The temperature is steadily rising here. I'm starting to think that we may reach freezing before the precip arrives and that the temperatures will be too mild for any real accumulation. daddylonglegs
Chicago- That is the bluffs doing that. They sit 500ft above the city. Official readings are taken at the airport which sits right near the river and Lake Onalaska. NWS is on top of the bluff. Airport sat at 32F all night.
