LANCASTER LGT SNOW 37 36 93 N17G26 29.65F FOG

http://forecast.weat...CTP&product=RWR

Have a hard time thinking there is light snow right now, it's HEAVY RAIN outside of Lancaster. Wonder if this was a typo. Anyone know for sure?

It wasn't a typo. Either it briefly switched over thanks to the very heavy rain... or it was an ASOS malfunction.

here in Macungie along the Little Lehigh, already over 2.25 inches of rain. The Little Lehigh is out its banks and Spring Creek Rd is on its way to being flooded and closed down in the next 2-3 hours. We are under a flood warning now and if you are reading this Mike, Mt. Holly was on the mark issuing a flood warning. Three more inches of rain at the end of the week will result in historical flooding along this creek and for the Lehigh River.

It's just 36 here now, btw. I can see places near Blue Mountain getting 2" tonight.

I've been holding at 35 for the past few hours now with light to moderate sleet. No accumulations on macadam surfaces, but the grass and cars are getting covered.

Still, not impressive for the year. I think they had a rough (non-snowy) winter last year too?

They've had a lot of winters where they were ripped off over the past 10 years. Their seasonal snowfall average has declined by several inches.

Yup, I remember it from living up there for 5 years.....I think there was one or two great years (2003, 2004). Too far from the Great Lakes and too far from the Atlantic Ocean. It is a prime spot though for overcast skies and flurries. :arrowhead:
