ctblizz>bump for will<ctblizz

I think we'll see some light snow (maybe sleet too) on Friday. I've mostly been talking about the storm in the other thread...I'm not really sure what this thread is....its titled "MARCH". I've kind of used it as the banter thread, lol.

But it def looks like we'll see some form of light precip on Friday/Friday evening.

Oy this thread has gone to axesmiley.png land.

BIrving, how about you stick to talking about your own snow pack rather than posting about what everyone else's looks like it clearly just pisses people off. I don't see many people coming on here talking about how much or little snow is in various parts outside of their back yard. We have enough people living all over the region that we can get pretty accurate reports just from from people that live in each of the many fine towns and villages in SNE without your assessment based on the snow right off of storrow drive.

I called him a tool because he thinks that very exposed spots are representative of the surrounding area and he went personal.

Just like I said that that 29" depth near my back deck isn't representative, many sun drenched spots aren't, either.

It's not a difficult concept.

I'm just going to use this one as the banter one. Sam started a banter thread but we really don't need it if we have this thread and a separate March 5-8 storm thread that is already over 250 posts. I'd just like to make sure we have one thread that is dedicated to that storm so people can pop in quickly and see whats going on without having to filter through too much crap.

BTW, I made an error in my snow depth today, its not 2 feet. Going down as zero because of the grass showing on the edge of the drive way:

I can confirm almost all the snow in the city on main streets including piles on the sun facing side is gone. On the shade side there are still 6-12" piles but almost all areas that didn't have snow piled onto them are snow free. However as soon as you get to brookline or allston/brighton which is slightly more suburban there's at least 6" base or more, and a whole lot more when you get out to newton and beyond. But the heat island makes a huge difference and when you combine it with being on the warm side of coastal fronts you get most of the snow melted and the bulbs starting to grow.

Edit: I'll shoot a few pictures on my phone that are not with the BIrving lenses.

How is your snowpack looking, then?
