I can't take gyms. LOL All the humanity around me sweating, coughing, boredom sitting on some machine or treadmill, stale indoor air... Give me a trail for hiking or some shoeing any day. Or kayaking which has to be good for the upper body....

You need a nice combo of both. I'm trying to do a little more cardio myself, but I'm not a big fan of it.

Oh I hear you. I try to run outside once in a while. There's a nice path near me along a river that flows into the harbor. I basically just do my thing, and then leave. I'm not the type to yap about politics and what not, like some do at the gym.

My wife wants one of those Subaru Outback type deals, but I'm not big on them. At least you have the SUV weenie mobile. Kevin lost his nads and bought a Camry.

That wasn't what my heart wanted..but my head and common sense said I had to. I'll put 20-25K on it per yr once i get my territory later this summer. I had narrowed it down to a Highlander and a Camry. I've had SUV's as my last 3 vehicles..so this was tough..but gas mileage wise..even though i get reimbursed for it..made the most sense.

Jen drove and Outback before we had the kids. Now we have a Sienna :arrowhead: You'll be there soon enough rest assured

I just bought a kayak in November. Can't wait to take her out on her maiden voyage.

Disaster. I absolutely hate minivans. We actually like the highlander, but gas prices are definitely on our mind. That's a sweet deal for you to get reimbursed. You lucky bastard.

It should be fun. You guys have a million lakes and ocean inlets, etc. also. I have the Mohawk River, some smaller nearby lakes and Otsego Lake near Cooperstown that is a fav. of mine. Or I can drive a little and the Dacks have tons of lakes being that Canadian shield geologic structure.

I always said I'd never own a minivan..but you know how that goes. she wanted me to get one instead of the new Camry. Said I could drive hers and she'd get the new one. Had to drop the hammer on that idea. ME FTW

They're actually great for kids and travelling and stuff. You'll have one once the kids come. Count on it

We'll see. I don't think Alison likes them either. I'm not getting a new car for another year or so, but I miss my 4-runner. That thing was great in the snow.

We are certainly due..... When was the last big snowstorm after March 1? I can't recall any in 08, 09, or 10. I guess St. Pats Day 2007 for here and April 15, 2007.

Well the are some hints at storms in the ensembles, but that's really all I can see for now. Nothing really concrete or imminent.

hopefully we can get that frontal boundary through the region earlier. gfs still has a very sharp temp drop and flips the area over to some wintry precip at the tail end of the event. those not-so-good precip algorithms on the coolwx page even have ZR at CHH.

Yeah there are still some signals for another wave to develop to flip some to wintry precip. 2m temps may also not do it justice, because they start to become a little warm in certain situations this time of year. We probably won't know until tomorrow or even Saturday.

Not to be denied. I'm just hoping I'm not in AK when it happens as I am looking forward to merciless trolling of Warministas as the snow piles up.lol

Agreed. I had 6.1" on 3/1/08, and 5.6" on 3/2/09. Those are the only 4" storms post-3/1 since April of 2007. Of course, 2007 saw 5 such storms in March/April, and far more April snow (37.2") than the total for all my other 11 Aprils here.
