weatherMA
LOL, I wonder how a local station's prediction from 2 days ago of 34, is going to work out today. Or from yesterday of 31F Dropped it to 25F as of this morning.
weatherMA
Is there any model showing a torch on Monday? Most stations have 38-45 then that same station that had mid 30s today has it approaching 60?
CoastalWx
Or from yesterday of 31F Dropped it to 25F as of this morning. Yeah it always looks good when numbers are bounced around. Wait until the Spring time, I've seen some classics.

It depends on the timing of the fropa. GFS delays it across ern mass, but the euro is a little more progressive and much cooler.
Damage In Tolland
Just thinking about the long months of misery we have to get thru this spring until it's summer. Last spring was just unreal. Summer started in mid late March. This year's gonna be ugly. Not looking forward to it
Allenson
Topped out at 35F yesterday and down to -10F at the moment. Pretty sweet 45 degree plunge right there. 1.7" of new snow, 0.08" LE. 31" at the stake, 91.3" for the season.

Nothing like looking out your window watching the drizzle fall and listening to fog horns. I guess it makes good weather for the kids to go out and play in. WTF is wrong with people? mahk_webstah
It actually seems like the opposite. As for telling me to grow up and get a life....isn't that the irony? I have a life and a wonderful girlfriend who everyone who shows up at GTGs has met and they have met me as well. I went out last Friday with Coastalwx and Ray and discussed weather over some beers...that is good life for me as well as visiting my GF at least 4 days per week up in N Chelmsford. Maybe that isn't a good life to you, but it is to me, so you can keep the personal garbage out of it. Not every perception of a "good life" is what you think it is and not every perception of February 2011 goes by what happened in the Cranberry Bogs of SE MA. true dat. tell her i said hi...never see her on here these days. What a read this morning! The pattern this winter would suggest a big late event. I mean geez, where I live there hasn't been a hint of a late March or April event since I got here on March 31 2008. Both the odds and the pattern would suggest it will happen this year. You have to think this year doesn't go out with a whimper. On the other hand, while I am rejoicing about this deep winter I am still in (hard to tell it is March up here), I am also a lover of warm sunny days spent outside. The best part of last year's horrid winter was the early spring that had my garden being tilled in late March and stuff in the ground early April. I'd like one more biggie or short epic stretch...maybe a biggie of 12+ and 2 smaller events, all within a week and then Voila presto big melt and green grass. I'm distressed that HPC is now showing a warmer wetter solution for this weekend/next week. My hope is that we survive that stretch with 20 inches still in the pack, get our epic stretch and I hit 36" and then Spring arrives. Just a thought(not for you Will but for some others)...if people regularly think you are taking a shot at them, then you are probably either 1) doing just that or 2) not doing a good job communicating. Both of these things are in the control of the communicator. Take responsibilty for yourself if you wish to match your intention with the impact. Bostonseminole
How is everyone? sad I almost forgot my password to log in... cold today. weathafella
I need to got out to Worcester today...too bad time is short or I'd try to hook up with Will but I will only be there for an hour and have a 3PM flight to DC from Logan later. Quick question: If the median strip of the Pike is bare, does it mean there's 0 for ORH?

Typhoon Tip
GFS is an absolute flesh peeler for me. Wait until you see the 00z suite of all deterministic guidance ...then have any last hope of anything fun to look at crushed and shattered by 06z GFS before your very eyes... Actually, it's a matter of perspective: I'm sick of this schist and would be thrilled if there were no snow chances and effective melt episodes like that. Yeah the deterministic runs were pretty craptastic. I guess we'll see because the ensembles offered something a little more interesting, but these setups are complicated and can fail very easily. I'd rather look for some more opportunities down the road, because I don't see anything spring-like right now. I guess you could argue Sunday, but it looks damp. powderfreak
i wonder if birving got a timeout...or maybe he's just driving around in his fedex truck zig-zagging SNE taking pics of snowless south facing slopes. For the record, I did notice some bare ground around here within 15 feet of the roadway, on a very steep, due south-facing embankment that has a dense evergreen canopy overhead, so the snow never actually makes it to the ground surface. Just wanted to throw that out there. That is with a consistent snowpack of 27-28" at 800ft and 31" at 1,500ft.
